hamnickel, you don't have to install Bootcamp or a WIN virtual machine - you can use a very handy program called Wine...it is free, and very easy to use. There are lots of tutorials on how to install/configure it to run on various levels of OSX Integration - here is the official Wine website: https://www.winehq.org/download

P.S. I'm using version 1.8.4, it opens up every R2R keygen.exe that I've tried

if you're having the problem - failed patching - when using the R2R keygen, here's the solution.

It's a permissions problem, right click on the AU / VST and click Get Info.

Go to Sharing & Permissions at the bottom of this page, and click the lock to edit. You need to make sure that the user with "(Me)" attached to the name, has permissions to read and write for the patch to work.

I've noticed that sometimes in El Capitan, this user is hidden for some reason. click the + at the bottom left of the get info window, then add the user with "(me)" attached, edit permissions and lock. Patch again and it will work.

Very Frustrated... it's not working for me. on Sierra, both component and vst files are set for me to read and write.. Still failed to patch.. looks like I have to downgrade back smhhhh

I posted this over on the thread about the patches, probably the wrong place, so will ask here (sorry for dupe post my friends...):

I am one of those who have not updated Omni2 since the OG R2r release, which in itself had problems with saving presets /remembering saved states in daws...(i would have to save the patches in Ableton browser etc)... would love to hear reports from OSX folks as to whether or not this has fixed that...

and can you apply this update to the OG release? Or like old Omni/Trillian etc, do you have to do the "cumulative" successive updates?

Hello everyone
Thanks for this excellent update but I have an issue to make it works with pro tools 10 on mac osx 10.9.5
the patch from the keygen say that the patch failed :-(
and when I try to open the plug on pro tools it tells me DAE error -7400

i'm not sure how you would use this on PT10, i don't think Spectrasonics made an RTAS version, and PT10 can't open AU/VST.... so just know that anything that is AAX is usually NOT available... you would have to use it in a wrapper like Blue cat etc..

Yes there is an rtas version and an aax that was usable with the update before this one, if my memory is good.
I'm not sure that I want to use wrapper plug ins.
I will perhaps try anyway or if anybody have a solution, go back to the another update ...

Guys, i have this big problem after installing the update.
I either have no sound at all or this pop up comes up:
Cannot load SoundSource "name of patch" in Directory "Core Library". Try refreshing index in Browser.

I did try refreshing , nothing. I did not move the STEAM folder anywhere or any other folders. Trillian works fine, so is Stylus RMX.
Im on Windows 7 Ultimate. Using latest version of Ableton Live.
Any Clues? cause im clueless.
