I'm just about to DJing for fun and to try different things. Would you recomend this software (or any other) to start or should i go with the masses and download Traktor?

If you just want to have fun it does not matter where you start, mixing two tracks should be almost the same. Start with something like VDJ8 or Traktor or Djay for Mac (unless you are on PC).

p.s. Traktor might seem a bit advanced first sight.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, thought about starting with Traktor since it's the most beloved by the public, so i'm going to trust it in this case. However, I was going to install Deckadance since it can be loaded as a VST inside a DAW but can't figure out how to make it work (could be just my PC).

for awhile, when I sold dj stuff to buy production stuff, I used a free app called Mixxx. I then midi-mapped sliders and keys (from my m-audio oxy 49) to all the needed parameters and could mix fine. Now, I was never into scratching or beat-juggling... just blends, and it worked great. I just had to allow myself to get used to the different set-up and stop "fighting it," if you know what I mean...

Wow havent seen this Softwear in a Long Long Time i use to mess with it back in the day b4 i hade cdjs then i went from that program to cdjs then from cdjs to turntables and Serato ;) wouldent mind trying PCDJ again The Ui looks awsome i love the red and black collers looks Mean and Dark like lookin forword to it thanks for the upload :) Going to download this and add it to my folder
