The Synth1 is a free virtual instrument (VST) developed by Ichiro Toda. Its reputation is based on its sound quality, low resource consumption and the wide choice available presets on the canvas.

It is inspired by the famous Clavia Nord Lead synthesizer.

If you find it buggy, try downloading v1.12 but it's x86 only. I still use x86 XP for music so it's not a problem for me... actually v1.13 work almost as stable, too, but it obviously needs some more "polish".

Too many people think that making a x64 version is just like "that". It's a different compiler, different code. Never automatically assume that if x86 version of some program worked great and stably that its x64 counterpart will be the same. x64 code still needs some time to mature on Windows.

Seems stable for me in REAPER. Also, nice idea of doing a GM-like soundset/bank.
