Oh Wow! All those classic synths I once owned / played / hired, where did the 70's, 80's & 90's go? I Was probably to stoned to notice the passage of time, but what I will always remember was my first Arp, my first gig (European tour!) with a Fairlight and the dawn of FM synthesis with the DX7. All the other Moog / Roland / Korg / Yamaha stuff were 'also rans', some models were great, but others were just same s**t different bucket. Oberhiem keybords were always ahead and 0BX / A was almost a DX7. Yes there were arguments between certain groups as to which was better (same as the pc Vs Mac, Blue ray Vs High Definition, [for us oldies Amiga Vs Atari ST, Commodore 64 Vs Sinclair Spectrum, VHS Vs Betamax, Cassette Vs Record etc...]) and I remember one evening in Skegness, in a pub called The Queens Legs, me and the lads were drinking a pint of old Olde Drythroate's Flatulent Bitter. We were just having a relaxing evening me and Vince Clarke, Omd, Jean Michelle Jarre and the Pet Shop Boys when Gary Neuman (and group Tubeway Army), Ultravox, Kraftwerk and The Human League got into an argument about the DX7 Vs Oberheim 0BX /A. There was bloodshed that night, it wasn't a pathetic 'Battle of the Bands', this was a serious 'Tulsa Race Riot 1921'. But after the survivors were out of intensive care we all made up and went our separate ways vowing to never mention that night or the two keyboards in the same sentence. Ahh Yes, happy memories, Thanks for uploading this, I'll have fun blasting these through 87 hearing aids tonight while they are watching the world cup (whatever that is?).
Many Thanks and Love to all uploaders
