It is Really. Specially when You try to make a perfect work. For me it's very important when I want change others work, do it better and not to destroy it.
Nice colors is one side of the work. Every thing should be good to See, Read and be Eyes Friendly.
I had last Year inner Bleeding of an eye. That has been caused by working every day on PC for Hours (I,m Architect and work with CAD and Max Software).
I got my Eye Problem because I ever had my Monitor Brightness by 90%.

Now I never set it more than 30% and never use white Backgrounds on my Apps.

What a coincidence! I'm also working on a new dark Skin for SPIRE. Basically it looks darker than yours with less blue elements in it and more red elements. I try to get rid of those boring, bad designed knobs, with designing new ones. That takes much time. Also i want to make the whole Interface with softened, rounded edges.

BTW: You have to be careful with inverting colors…did you notice the whitish halo/glow right below the knobs? If you want to remove this you have to do an extensive extra-work!

Red is a good Combination. and More Round edges.
I can live with the Knobs.
Definitely Reveal Sound had to invest more money in GUI Design. Any good Product as You know as Graphic Designer needs good Packaging and Presentation.

Right. That is why I Do these skins. Light interfaces and Software Backgrounds are very harmful for eyes when You work for Hours on a Project.

I made a mistake and uploaded a Version with silver buttons Just for win, the Mac is ok

I re uploaded the Right one with dark Buttons.

But the one with silver buttons is interesting too.

That brightness thing is very true, I have all my monitors set as dark as possilbe *usually 0 brightness, and contrast at 50 during day time) (night time 0 brightness and >50 contrast)

You gotta think, is staring at a flashlight good for your eyes? well what do you think the color white on your bright monitor is doing? may not be as bright; but if your working on your monitor for more than 1 hour the difference adds up. Thank you for this skin! I love it. I enjoy a very clean look (which some may think is bland, I think it's professional)
