I can't copy the "Superior Drummer.component" file...because "_code source is used" !!??

RTAS and Vst OK, I can open the new EzDrummer rock and vintage in Suoerior Drummer

Superior 2.4.0 is now available from your Toontrack account. This update is recommended to all users but primarily to customers who purchased EZdrummer 2 and wish to access this product's core library within Superior Drummer. Note that version 2.4.0 is required for the support of EZX packs released from this point forward (Q2 2014).

IMPORTANT: this release is tested on Windows 7 and newer only. It is NOT compatible with Mac OS 10.5 – customers with earlier systems, Windows XP most notably, are advised to remain at version 2.3.1, the last version of this product appropriately tested with their operating system.

New in version 2.4.0:
- support for EZdrummer 2 core sound libraries and future EZXs
- support for EZdrummer 2 percussion (available as X-drum from the ‘Producer preset Sounds’ submenu)
- support for EZdrummer 2 EZX presets
- new mapping tab highlighting of the articulation currently playing
- new Velocity Ctrl feature indicating incoming and outgoing velocity
- new Help menu header that describes version, build, bits and format of the plug-in

Improved in version 2.4.0:
- busses can now have the same name as existing mic channels (names must still be unique within the same class)
- during bounce each phase is described by the bounced files name rather than the corresponding mic name
- special handling of right channel output names for Sonar X series and Ableton Live
- the X-drum mic assignment window can now be scrolled if required
- improved X-mics assignment from and to the special ‘Kit’ mics found in The Classic EZX
- additional auto-allocation of X-mics rules to minimize manual assignments
- change in the built-in configs for Pop/Rock in line with newly released EZX
- updated Yamaha E-drum preset in line with EZdrummer 2

Fixed in version 2.4.0:
- AAX version now ignores the Mono All setting (not relevant to ProTools)
- AAX version on Windows should no longer crash if a new instance is created after you have loaded 2GB of sounds already
- fix for faulty sends occuring after copying from a mono to stereo channel or after a send has been removed then reinstated
- fix for issues when bouncing mute tails and swirls
- progress bar during bounce should no longer disappears when the plug-in window is closed and reopened
- Help Menu link ‘Content Providers’ changed to ‘Expand Superior Drummer’ and points to Superior Line Products page

It's seems this ver. of 2.4 does not allow me to use ez2 libraries :(

Same here. And after trying to load ez2 core library, superior doesn't want to open anymore (at least in the daws I used to test it: Podium free and EnergyXT). It gives an error, an exception for an illegal process. I'm on Win 7 x86. Tried to uninstall and re-install, but it didn't solve the exception. Maybe it's because I don't have any superior library installed?

Edited/updated: Found a solution: I had a hard time registering EZD 2, as it was always asking for authorization every time I opened it. The solution I found: I changed my DAW's compatibility in "properties" for "execute this program as administrator". This trick worked for me to use the EZD 2 library in Superior and to stop that annoying authorization problem.

I'm on Win 7 64bit, I see some changes but not everything works. Strange...

Maybe copy the file "Superior Drummer.dll" from this location:

C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\Toontrack

to this location

C:\Program Files (x86)\VSTPlugIns

Or wherever you keep your x32 and x64 vsti files. (As long as you copy the x64 to the x32). Just make sure you make a backup of the original just in case. Sometimes this works. Otherwise, if you are trying to open Superior Drummer in a DAW, make sure you are pointing to the correct VSTi folder(s). This is advisable because the Superior Drummer x64 version usually installs itself in its own "Toontrack" folder under your VSTPlugins folder.
