So has anyone actually had any luck with cloning of instruments, say a specific guitar or synth sound? And is the training still done best on the Weights site (i.e. this app can't do that bit, it can only use a model and not create one). Thanks all.

I trained a tenor sax in RVC, but no idea if it'll work in REPLAY as I do not use it. Not even sure if it's the right place to post it here.

I trained my voice models with the app.

as the creator of this app. If you have a mac its not going to make the best model. Its still best to use weights or replay on PC.

We added song generation as well as sample flipping.

I know I said this in the last release but we will have a VST very soon! we actually have one built but its pretty clunky.

Can't wait for that VST! Any plans for an AU version? I'd love to beta test both!

Thanks - is there a guide somewhere on how to clone say a piano sound? Specifically, does the audio used for training have to be monophonic? And how do a do my 'generation' with it afterwards? Can I use another piano recording as the source to replicate, or would say a recording of a sine tone playing the material work better? Many thanks for making this available, really appreciate your work!

Thanks - how do you then use that trained model? By that I mean is the melody you then have that trained model play always another sax sample etc. And I'm assuming you're doing this next stage in RVC as well? And how good are the outputs? Usable for something, or 'fun experiment at this stage'?? ;o)

1. I use my own voice as input for inference in RVC, either live or offline. For best results I try to mimic the sound of a saxophone with my mouth, like: too, taa, tee, baah, beeh, waah, etc, depending on required articulation. RVC is a voice conversion app, so do not expect good results trying to convert instruments to another instruments.

2. Output sound quality is quite decent, but as a whole it's somewhat limited in terms of articulations. Unless I'm not skilled enough to properly mimic a saxophone, that is ;)

3. Fun experiment for now, but with potential to evolve to more serious applications.

Actually I trained 3 more: a flugelhorn, an upright bass, and a fretless bass as well.

PM me if you interested in trying it/them out.
