Thanks but in Green and Grey, you can hardly see the text under the knobs.

I second this, the shadow underneath the knobs should be a bit brighter. Thanks for sharing nonetheless

how do you switch skins in nexus? I only see the retro 2 button, my skin browser is grey

I had the same problem, then I changed the gui size to say 50% and back to 75% and the text was no longer greyed out.

Edited: Also you need to have the skins in this folder (example):
C:\Nexus 5\Nexus Content\Skins\N5 Retro
My Nexus Content folder didn't have the Skins folder, so I just created one and threw in the N5 Retro folder.

Well the only issue is that Nexus Content does not exist. By default it's NEXUS Library. And still...Skin browser entry is still greyed out...

EDIT : Waver gave the solution. Every skin has to remain a zip file and not be extracted !
Then the Skin browser is active :)

I found a fix for this, go to your nexus library and go into the skins folder and then make a folder named "N5 Retro" and put all the skins in that folder and make sure all the skins are in the rar format still!! Hope this helps.

it's a real shame that you can't have different skins in this version 5 compared to v4. No offense, but I'm not interested in retro skins, as numerous as they are.

Thank You! I absolutely love the orange gradient behind the presets in the Grey skin.

Anyone else having problems finding skin browser just click R2 button and then click N5 button. Skin browser menu will be available.

I pressed the N2 button then the N5 button right after and the skin browser is still greyed out.

I noticed after the 5.1.8 and 5.1.9 updates it was fixed.

Nope it's not. At least not for me.

Put skin folders in C:\Users\Public\Documents\reFX\NEXUS library\Skins\N5 Retro
and select N2 Retro tag and then right click on N5, it will highlight.
No other file only skins folders in N5 Retro folder.
.thumbnails folder will generate automatically by Nexus

Apart from skins, you can change the avatar at "Public\Documents\reFX\nexus" with small custom PNG file and boost your experience. Rename it to "avatar". Lol. Most of people already knew this, but for those who dont it will make Nexus prettier.

"Public\Documents\reFX\vanguard" for Vanguard and keep one for backup.

I'd love to know how to do it with Studio One. If anyone can help.

Which Version of Nexus 5 you are using, I tried it in FL studio and Nexus 5 V5.1.9, all skins are working fine,I never tried it in Studio One. Do you extracted Skin folder from rar file in Skins directory of Nexus 5. Because if it is not extracted in skins folder then it shows you a default skin.

Do you extracted Skin folder from rar file in Skins directory of Nexus 5. Because if it is not extracted in skins folder then it shows you a default skin. and you also Need to Install the latest version of Nexus 5 and that is 5.1.9. Extract all skin folders to this location:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\reFX\NEXUS library\Skins\N5 Retro

Thanks for the explanation, I have tried a lot. I also have the latest V 5.1.9. I also had to rename the respective background.jpg images and copy them into the folder: Nexus Library -Skins-N5 retro- .thumbnails and replace them. Now the colors of the background in the skin browser are also the correct colors, which can then be selected

I did everything correctly, and my skin browser is still greyed out. I'm confused as to what I'm doing wrong. I have the latest version installed. I also have my Nexus Library in my external hard drive. Could that also be a problem?
