Well, it's not what it says it's supposed to be, so I disagree. It's a release candidate, not a fully developed release so take that for what it's worth, You may encounter bugs, so that you know.

Don't see any presets included, is there something specific you have to do, or is with me only? Also patch bank mid/sysex not working.

If i try to import from /library/Audio.... it fails with error while importing

have you tried clicking on the preset link at the top then go to the bottom left they are all there. If you try and click on the box it wont bring up any presets. If you cant find them no worrys because they are really dreadful infact the whole plugin is dreadful

I've never known a version 1 of anything to not contain bugs of one sort or another. Bug-free can happen, but aren't too common.
Also, R.C's can be just as (if not more) stable as 'official' releases. (I used Pro Tools 8.0 RC1 for years before I updated to 12)

Even fully developed Waldorf software is full of bugs.
Lector and Largo V1 create a preset folder on Mac with an invisible character before W in Waldorf (maybe they pass a C string) that resides beside the right named Waldorf folder and makes the Timemaschine backup fail everytime.
Fixed in Largo V2.

Whether same binary (as you claim) or not, this is officially classed as v1.0.0 in the plugin's own Menu - About... No mention of being a release candidate any more.

Note: it often happens that a release candidate appears to be stable enough to be released, as it is, as the official V1.

So my hypothesis is that it's not mislabeled, another proof is that when you click on the "Blofeld" logo, the about box shows exactly this:

No mention of RC4. In conclusion, I think that the RC4 is the V1.

RC can get promoted to final versions, its normal if RC works bugfree for testers.

(on mac) If you chose custom install in the installer - make sure the presets checkbox is selected. If you chose easy install, it should be selected already, unless there is a bug in the installer. It is a release candidate after all, so bug are likely.

I just let it install the easy way – into whatever folder it prefers automaticallly. can't get the presets working though. I can see them... the presets are there in the preset folder! but they won't show up in the plugin

I couldn't see them. But found that the installer installed into the wrong Library... From memory now I think it is looking for them in "/Users/yourusername/Library/Audio/Presets/Waldorf" . Copied from where it installed "/Library/Audio/Presets/Waldorf" and that solved the problem for me. It's either like that or the other way round. Just see which one is missing waldorf folder, copy them to the correct presets folder and problem solved.
