The Overloud plugin must have its network verification disconnected. Otherwise, the authorization file will be automatically deleted. The cracking method for the hosts is ineffective. I hope that R2R can change the cracking method, because the previous versions you cracked couldn't be used normally either.

Just block the hosts and it works. If you're having trouble, try locking the authorization file's folder

I have tried all possible solutions, but R4E helped me solve the problem. The hosts method is not secure, including setting the authorization file to read. Can you understand what I am saying? He once told me that it would be released on Audioz in the future, but this patch may have a significant impact and I cannot publicly share it. Therefore, I think the best way is to personally approach him, as he can solve the problem perfectly.

God bless you, although you haven't published many things, you are always good, and your programming skills should be recognized.

Blocking "www.overloud.com" is not enough.
Check your LS network monitor.
Plug-ins calling home under host application also. All plugins, not just Overloud things.
You can check "deny" box inside LS monitor under host (S1, Logic et.) activity folder.
After deny put your license file to the write place again.

Can someone explain the Mac installation step by step? Even though I blocked it with Little Snitch, it still appears in demo mode

The method that has worked for me on Intel & Apple silicon Macs running various OS versions is to use the terminal command to block your computer from connecting to their website then try accessing their website from all browsers on your computer, if any browsers are able to access then you'll have to go again until successful. This is the 1st step of probably the trickiest install of all but it does work.

Editing the /etc/hosts file with Facebook as an example:
Open up Terminal in /Applications/Utilities.
In the command line, type in "sudo nano /etc/hosts".
When asked, type your admin password.
In the screen that will appear, you’ll see the host database for your computer.
Using your down arrow, go to the bottom, right under where it says, "127.0.0.1 localhost".
Type in "127.0.0.1 hit β€˜tab’, then enter facebook.com”.
On a new line, type in "127.0.0.1" hit β€˜tab’, then enter www.facebook.com"; this is for extra measure.
Now, hold down Control + β€œO”. This will save the changes to the host database.
Hit β€œReturn” and then Control + β€œX” to exit the screen.
Remove the existing cache by typing in "sudo dscacheutil -flushcache" in the command line, this refreshes the existing cache on the host database.
You should receive an β€œUnable to connect” error message when you go to Facebook.com now.

Be cautious when editing the /etc/hosts file, as incorrect entries can cause connectivity issues.
It’s recommended to create a backup of the original /etc/hosts file before making changes.

You may find you didn't get it quite right the 1st time after testing with all browsers, if that happens just go again until you get it right.

Then follow R2R instructions for the rest of the installation. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN THE PLUGIN UNTIL YOU'RE SURE THIS HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL!

Hi, everyone having trouble authorizing Overloud apps and plugins in Mac OS.

It's not due to either R2R or poor host blocking.

It comes from Apple Sequoia's new network security function.
Sequoia can use a masked hardware id (WIFI NIC) to prevent the machine from being tracked and and have that function as default option.
So Overloud and Waves applications whose authorization is based on the hardware NIC can't find the right or previously authorized NIC in the ols files, so be DEMO Mode.

If your OS is Sequoia, go to the WIFI options, detailed, find "Private WIFI Address" or something and turn it off.

The Overloud and Waves apps and plugins can find real en0 hardware address and authorization info attached to it.

This is how I avoided my problem when using my Sequoia beta, and Sonoma had no authorization problem, and now when I was coming back to Sequoia official with the same problem, I solved the problem again.

I normally set the option "Rotation" or something and when I need to use Overloud, Waves and some other apps that use WIFI NIC-base authorization, I turn it off.

I wish I could be able to write a script to do this hassle automatically.

I was previously trying to do it using the hardware MAC address of the modem, but when I used the Wi-Fi MAC address, I managed to solve the problem thanks mate.

I entered the Hardware/Mac Address from Network setting in system preferences.

Still says 10 min demo.

Usually, this stuff causes me no issues. I'm lost what the issue is.

Thanks, I updated to 15.4 and wondered why it suddenly stopped working. Interestingly, Waves seem to work even in Rotating mode, only Overloud stopped working when it was turned on. Cheers

On my Mac Studio Sequoia wifi is always offline…
Just use fiber . Is it enough ? Thanx for all Audioz people

In macOS15 you need a WIFI address, see screenshot.

To block it, just make an entry in the HOSTS file by copying this command to the terminal

sudo -- sh -c -e 'sed -i "" "/www.overloud.com/d" /etc/hosts'
sudo -- sh -c -e "echo '127.0.0.1 www.overloud.com' >> /etc/hosts";
