would it be useful to layer snares, hihats and general percussions?

just I didnt see a pan knob, but I think it can pan layers...?

Totally agree. Never heard of this and likely wouldve never found it.

Instead of the usual tedious methods, it appears to be an all-in-one workflow time saver more than anything else. How good are the tools inside of it comparatively? I dunno yet. But will certainly give it a good once over here shortly.

yeah I agree about the tools, but I have to say that I wouldnt use the internal compressors or limiters, maybe the EQ or distortion? I dont know

What Im looking for is a tool to
-layer one shot drums
-check phase-waveform of the layers
-can play "in place" the samples while browsing and the daw plays
-DOESNT CRASH lol

so the internal fx are not that important for me. havent tested this yet, but it seems to have also a good browser. Hopefully it has the "play in place" function!

EDIT: other users are reporting a "known issue", it doesnt work in Cubase and crashes it lol I have to wait for a fix by the developer, and I have already downloaded it lol nevermind...

Edit: Never mind got it to work.

I'm doing something wrong or it doesn't work for me. I copied the VST3 and EXE to my VST3 folder after the VST3 only crashed Cubase during startup. But as it has crashed Cubase it just got deactivated after a few tries.

Currently it is not compatible with Cubase, the next version should be, they say on their website.

So if I wanted to get my kick and bass perfectly matched with a merged waveform, all I had to do would be to take a short sample of the bass and ONLY adjust the kick. Then merely add the kick to the project?

Looks ok for basic layering. Individual processing per layer is a useful feature (as long as the processing is good quality).

However it's yet another kick plugin that fails to address several design necessities:

1. Grid locked envelope points.
2. Per layer phase rotation
3. Most importantly - No synthesis layer

Have you tried FX23 Psylab? Hammer seems like a much simpler, and maybe faster, plugin to work with. Psylab is definitely much more powerful though.

FX23 Psylab looks good but I've never tried it.

Instead, IMO I can say "Sonic Academy Kick3" and "The Him DSP Kick Ninja" are the real top of gamma.
A special mention goes to the new Cableguys Snapback.

I've had my eye on Psylab for a while, it seems to be the best solution available, though it's not the prettiest of interfaces. Kick 3 looks like it will be an improvement over 2 now that they're implementing envelopes for the "click" layers and introducing phase rotation.

"The layer phase rotation" it's the most important thing when layering on the low-end

Yes, but only 180 rotation. And The pre-delay (a way to correct the phase manually) is only bpm-grid constrained. Honestly for me this is a big limitation...

He's not a pro lol, in first video he doesn't zoom in to the kick samples to cut them at zero crossing points hence the huge clicks when looped.

I was hyped about this plugin at the beginning because it looked promising, but in my opinion there is a lot missing in the plugin, namely that when you press the midi buttons, when you pitch the sample higher, the kicks become narrower and smaller than with a normal sample, they should be better Get a pitching time warp with a key and take a look at Nimble kick. In my opinion, you only play tone C all the time and if you play higher the kick is gated. That shouldn't be in hardstyle kick. The problem here is that you don't play it several times If you press the midi keys, they will automatically not be played correctly if there is a bug, but instead they will be played in a strangely shortened manner. There is a need for a new update

For people who want to know, the people behind this used to release sample packs on fragment audio.
We tweak is a subscription service where you can get those earlier released samplepacks.
In short it is a Splice or loopcloud service but for the harder styles.
Industrial ,Techno, Hardcore (gabber) and other subgernes.

The only thing i thought was not fair, that when you had bought previous products you still paid for those samples as a package (just another name) but now monthly..

Just gave it a try. It's bad. A lot of other better option out there. Where clicks everywhere and you need to fix and align one by one. Come to think about it, doing it manually with a different tracks for each layer is faster, more controls and easier to mix.
