An interactive tool for voice transformation with a neural auto-encoder.
Circe lets you modify the pitch and tension of the voice. Used as a plug-in, these parameters can be controlled automatically by analyzing these characteristics from a second audio track defined as a side-chain. Circe can also be used to create a hybrid timbre between the original track and the one defined as a side-chain.

Circe is available as a VST3 and AudioUnit plug-in and as a standalone application that can be used as an external sample editor. Circe is compatible with Windows, Linux, and MacOS (M series only).

Circe neural auto-encoder model is developed by Frederik Bous and Axel Roebel at IRCAM Analysis-Synthesis Team of the STMS Laboratory.

Circe plug-in and Circe standalone application are designed and developed by Pierre Guillot at IRCAM IMR department.

Oh boy, as soon as I placed it on my melody (just to test it), the CPU usage shot up to over 150%. For the first time ever, my PC froze because of a VST.
Do not install it's a straight up Memory resident virus.

mostly IrCam Plugin behavior !!

But also all AI-realtime Transforming Plugins will blow your CPU too

While I fully understand the need to sacrifice samples for real-time processing, I can assure you this plugin isn't supposed to behave that way. I also have the IRCAM Mocha bundle, and it works perfectly.

stanadlone versio is having many issues:-

No Drag & Drop Option for Audio Files !! you have to browse for it

No Drag Option for the Plugin Screen itself !! can't change its place on my screen!!
close it the first time to be able to move it!

Not a single DEMO in the internet even it's since 2022 !!
guys, we are almost in 2025 !!

(Timbre Mix) Slider is (Stuck) in the (Left) side !! even when (Timbre) value is changed

(Play Sound icon) in the (Bottom Right) side does N(othing) !!

only (Bypass) , (Pitch) , (Tension) are working ---> But we can't hear anything or the effect applied !!


VST Plugin :-
------------
1- Must be Connected to internet all the time in your DAW ---> So if you have cracked DAW :-
Open it First with Firewall Blocking it ---> then Un-block it ---> Load Circe play with it
then remember to block DAW back !!

2- Crackling , Glitching sound in realtime playing even with high speed internet connection , power PC
you need to render the whole Audio Track with the effect to hear it without cracking , humming !!


Baaaaad Plugin unless needed in certain weird effects !!

but ,
I liked the (Tension Effect) idea !! ---> So, How to acheive it without that plugin?
I recall such an effect from Antares in the past I think
I'm here , That's more than enough !!
