Its got potential.
He has to grab a few more meat and potato functions from things like Chowkick.

Bake a few starter sounds into the .dll so that it makes a useful sound out of the box. Even before fishing around for presets. I dont know if it has a function to spread the kick across all the midi keys, but you need to spread it across all the keys for use in some scenarios. Like when using one sound as opposed to a kit. Make it an easy to find function, with both Chromatic and non-Chromoatic.

Just copy something when somebody else got it right. Cumulative.
And add the things that you are striving to improve.
