JS Inflator is a copy of Sonox Inflator.

Runs in double precision 64-bit internal processing. Also double precision input / output if supported.

Comes in two GUIs. The alternative GUI is made by Twarch.

Yes it does, if you understand what it is. S Inflator in essence is just a waveshaper with a certain curve. So JS don't need to have a code

Some time ago people discovered that Inflator is a rather simple plugin, and this is a replica of it. It is a waveshaper (adjustable curve) + hard/soft clipper + triangular dither. Sonnox doesn't have oversampling if I remember correctly? OS is very useful for clippers to avoid aliasing. Anwy. basically use a good waveshaper/saturator with oversampling + a good clipper + triangular dither (if finalising) and you get Inflator +

I saw those posts and from what I remember what you say was true for the normal settings, but the plugin has a knob that, when activated, does something that could not be replicated with a regular waveshaper anymore. I forgot the details though

I get no meters in the latest legit FL Studio, Win 10. I hear the effect but can't see levels...in the Twarch gui version. I haven't tested the other yet.

I dont know what this is supposed to do or imitate, I dont use FL.

But just using it real quick, it puts "brightness" and wideness at the top end.

Thats a subtlety compared to multi-reverb compression glitchers,
but worth a million bucks.

It says in the first sentence what is imitating...
"JS Inflator is a copy of Sonnox Inflator ."

and it has nothing to do with FL, Sonnox is a completely different company making their own VST plugins. Their plugin "inflator" was considered a secret ingredient by many producers/mixing/mastering engineers ect back in the day.

If two waveforms cancel each other when phase flipped it means the two waveforms are exactly the same, 1 to 1, a literal copy of one another, so why would two exact sounding waveforms seem to sound different to you? Your ears are deceiving you, maybe they cant be trusted.

you're being fooled by bias, do a series of blind test and I'm sure you'll fail it (they're the exact same audio signal)

If two sounds cancel out each other completely, they are exactly 100% the same.

You can do this in Melda's Waveshaper as well, don't need a separate plugin like this.
