JS Inflator is a copy of Sonox Inflator.

Runs in double precision 64-bit internal processing. Also double precision input / output if supported.

Comes in two GUIs. The alternative GUI is made by Twarch.

JS Inflator has an uncluttered interface, with a handful of controls present on the interface.

The interface is easy to read, with a pair of meters denoting the input and output gain.

Builds and Requirements
Windows - x64, SSE2
Mac - macos 10.13 ~ 14.5, SSE2 or NEON

Rename 'InflatorPackage' into 'JS Inflator'.
AUv2: Controller state was overwriting Processor state. Fixed.
Ctrl-Z: VU meter was using parameter to send data to Controller, and it caued 'undo history' to be filled with meter changes. Fixed.
Meters are now following envelope detector with time contants.

How to use
Windows
Unzip Windows version from latest Release and copy to "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3".

MacOS
Unzip macOS version from latest Release and copy vst3 to "/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3" and component to "/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components".

I tried Twarch version, it crashed the first time I loaded it on reaper v7.16. after that, it seems working just fine.
clicked on the preset browser doesn't seem to do anything tho? or is it just cosmetic?

Edit: working fine on cubase pro 13 too.

I dont have Oxford Inflator cause if I go it I wont be using this ;) but I have Melda waveshaper which does nulls, and JS inflator nulls agains Melda!!

There's also Maag EQ4 recreation from this dev. The behavior, curve everything similar like PA's Maag EQ4 but his version is cleaner with less artifact.

Does not properly work at 44.1kHz tho.

Do they do the same?

this plugin is something to clone the famous "inflator effect" by Sonnox which has it's saturation, it produce harmonic content, but has a particular behaviour on the dynamics of modern music like rock, pop, hiphop or EDM

I tried reviver ages ago but it should be only an harmonic content enhancer, something like Plugin Alliance Vertigo VSM

agree with Patatern but just want to add, the Inflator is famous for making things feel a bit louder without changing the peak level. It doesnt really change the dynamic like a limiter but adds more RMS to the track.

thanks for the add on stevie, been vague on the inflator dynamic effect to keep it simple

anyhow I use it since...maybe 20 years? lol and I tried every plugin that claim to be the exact clone, that null with it and so on

well I still use the orignal inflator :) thats all I can tell

Arboreal Pi Max is another plugin that inspired by Inflator. It's tricky but has the same concept with added features. I have used it before, sometimes, once in a while. It's okay.

Yes, it's kind of similar. Both are in essence waveshapers / saturators.

Difference is that the original Inflator and this remake are using a specific waveshaper curve to achieve a certain type of saturation, while Reviver is based on tuning in the amount of even / 2nd and odd / 3rd order harmonics that you like.

If you want a free plugin that more closely resembles Reviver get the free GSat+ from TBProAudio

I appreciate the heads-up on this update, LDVN.
I haven't used the Oxford in ages, but I don't really feel the need to compare the two (aside from that usual nagging curiosity,) as this sounds good to me. And it's solid over here, no crashes or weirdness with either GUI in Studio One v4/5 or the latest Reaper.

If you want to help the developer to improve and fix bugs, please go to the GitHub and open an "issue" there. There you can share with him which problems you encounter. I've done it before and he was very responsive to user feedback, but I doubt he follows each and every thread on all audio forums or even warez sites.
