I saw this on Au5 YouTube video the best spectral compressor ever made but the problem is latency I know it doesn’t use a lot but my computer can’t handle latency if you put it onto many tracks but the technique is that you can treat this as a linear phase EQ and linear phase filter which provides astonishing quality

It's definitely not the best one out there, but it is by far the best free one. Although, I only know of two other free ones: Auburn Sounds Lens and Wavegrove Vastaus*. Lens works a bit more like a standard compressor (similar to Sonible SmartComp and Techivation M-Comp) while Vastaus tries to be a spectral de-esser/resonance suppression like Soothe (but fails horribly).

This one is more like Soothe and DSEQ rather than SmartComp and M-Comp, and it does a really good job of it. It's remarkably CPU efficient as well! Basically a perfect free alternative to Soothe.

Instead, I thought of obtaining a drum track from a pink noise, subtracting from the pink noise all the frequencies that don't belong to the universe of percussive sounds. I just need to figure out how to get a rock drum track rather than a metal or jazzy one...
