I have this 60 gig 60 part rars in a folder on a HD I need to clear out. So If I "install" the steam folder and then run this patch I should be good????

The difference in file size between this one from R2R and the one from Moria is striking. 500 mb difference due to the type of data compression used. I would love to know what they used. Keka via 7z set to maximum is not enough...

Almost everything works for me except the Andromeda presets (Error loading Waveform) and some of the D-50 presets (Cannot load soundsource xxxx in the Directory 'Core Library'. Try refreshing the browser). I tried that, but without result. Everything else appears to work fine, also in the hardware library when I randomly load presets. I do not get an error elswhere. Of course I did find discussions online, but it's just a few presets, which I find strange. And yes I can go with out them (ignore them), but if there is a fix.... that be nice.

I did refresh all 3 browsers also... patch, multi and soundsource.

Anybody any ideas?

Can you point out the path of the failing presets? Who has already installed - does this update affect the Sonic Extension?

Everything else worked, but the hardware library did not work correctly. So I re-installed this and the soudsources. The later appeared to not install properly, so I manually moved everything to the Steam folder, and that did the trick :) I don't know why I had this problem. Strange.

Some third party garbage cleaners for windows see *.db file as unnecessary to the system - this may be the reason.

Does this patch actually work? Everytime I try to run the Win version, I get a popup asking to "Insert Spectrasonics Omnisphere then click OK..." and you have to cancel which brings up another popup that says "Installation Attributes file not found..."

Extract the ISO to its own folder and mount the Spectrasonics Omnisphere ISO from another release. It should work then.

Hey I had this problem in the past, too.
I found out that this can happen when the attributes file name gets changed (maybe by the unpacking software, no idea).
It needs to be like this: ".InstallationAttributes.dat"
You notice that little dot "." in the beginning. If it´s not there, you get this error.

You can. Then put STEAM folder's new location shortcut in the original proper place... old hat trick. If you can't figure out how, go back to ancient earlier posts about this.

I used this DL in conjuncture with the following files to get a full updated Omnisphere...
Core Library 2.8
Soundsource Library 2.6.1c
Patch Library Update 2.6.1c
Patch Library Update 2.8.1c
Software Update 2.8.5f

Remove all previous version of Omnisphere.
Create Spectrasonics folder in ProgramData (usually hidden).
Drag and Drop (or copy and paste) the STEAM folder from the Core Library 2.8 to the newly created ProgramData/Spectrasonics folder.
When complete, install these files in the following order.
Soundsource Library 2.6.1c
Patch Library 2.6.1c
Patch Library 2.8.1c
Software Update 2.8.5f (choose your vst/aax type)
Reboot system
Open Omnisphere in your DAW and add it to a track (or channel rack in FL)
You should now have a fully updated Omnisphere.
