Blue Cat Audio Blue Cats Connector v1.12 Incl Keygen (WiN and macOS)-R2R screenshot
Team R2R | 2023.03.11 | 22.3 MB/71.2 MB
Blue Cat's Connector is an audio & MIDI streaming plug-in that can be used to transmit audio and MIDI signals in real time between several computers or applications, or create your own routings within a single application, with minimal latency.

Have you ever dreamt to overcome the limitations of your favorite DAW and draw virtual audio and MIDI cables between any places that accept plug-ins?

Have you ever been frustrated not to be able to create feedback loops with plug-ins?

What about connecting multiple applications together, on different computers?

The wait is over! Blue Cat's Connector lets you do all of this, and more! It can stream audio and MIDI data in real time, between any locations that accepts plug-ins: one or several applications, on one or several machines connected to a network.

With precise buffering control, you can achieve the lowest possible latencies: down to 0 samples, when used in a single application.

Its built-in resampling and drift compensation algorithms let you create seamless connections between locations with different sample rates and unsynchronized master clocks: it just works!

Anyone tried to use reason rack in windows connected to one iMac for example?

This is something that always comes to my mind... using windows VST´s on MAC

I know there is a free application called "audiogridder" that does this too, I don't know what is better.

i hope someone share is experiences with this application (does it really works?)

The problem with this was too many dropouts, and having a DAW open in both systems really stressed the DSP. Even one dropout ruins the mixdown, so Audiogridder it is. It renders flawlessly each time, and is DAW-less. Also works nicely to distribute DSP in a chain, just put the heavy hitter in AG and it won't jam up as fast.
AG is really simple to use, once you figure out how to crossover. It doesn't pick up all the plugins, and it's a hassle to get it working. Using a Wineskin adaptation of several different crossover packages, there's a nice collection of windows stuff on hand, but it doesn't work for some reason on newer plugs on High Sierra. All in all, not really worth the hassle unless you enjoy this sort of thing, but there's a few cool things that aren't otherwise available. Your mileage may vary.

Thanks for the reply.

Things not working in High Sierra its common and its not really one error (that OS is very outdated so it's normal)

I'm reading very good things about audiogridder too, i think i will test it.

Newer intel Mac plugs work natively on High Sierra, practically without exception. Lots of older ones do, too. The problem isn't really in the system, because some of them can be loaded into a DAW using Crossover, so it has to do with how the wrapper is set up.
Lots of things don't work on my Catalina partition that run just fine on High Sierra, especially old Wine versions. Just FYI.

Okay let me understand it better. Are you saying that I can load a Win plugin Vst through Crossover inside an Ableton Live running on Mac ? Without then using AG or Connector ?

No, you'd have to get the windows Ableton to run inside crossover. You have to pick, one or the other, but switching back and forth with freezing might be possible. If you want to run Ableton in mac format with windows plugs, use AG. Be aware, though, there's a lot of latency involved.
Haven't tried Ableton, but, yes, win Harrison Mixbus can run some of the plugs that AG can't, using Crossover. Haven't found a single way to use them all, it has to do with which folders are getting scanned.
Crossover is fiddly, but you could very well get Ableton to run in it, you could even use Audiogriddder to wrap Mac plugs and run it inside win Ableton for total access.
It's a project, no matter how you go about it. The trick is getting it to fit with your workflow.

Ah ok thank you, everything is clearer now.
However I had something else in mind. I already have Parallels Desktop which works well with win 10 Samplitude and abletton, plus other native PCs. Instead, I would like to try using some win Softube directly inside a mac DAW. I am undecided whether to try to explore the venture via AG or BC Connector. I think I'm going to start experimenting with Connector first, this update finally solves those problems that made it unworkable before.
By all means thank you for your support

V1.12 (2023/02/07)

Improved resampling and drift compensation when the plug-in starts streaming audio.
The plug-in now reports when more than 100 dropouts occurred.
Improved user interface meters refresh performance.
The plug-in has now been tested for long distance communication and online jamming. More information and setup instructions can be found in this tutorial.
Fixed VST3 MIDI input not detected by Ableton Live 11.

If anyone else has trouble loading the plugins into REAPER, just know that it's simply because the plugin hasn't been registered yet. If there is a standalone executable provided (such as with PatchWork) you can use the standalone to register and load the VST/VST3 without issue. If not, you can use the following steps to register them with a manually-generated license file:

1. Uninstall any Blue Cat Audio plugins that are not being loaded and verify full deletion (make sure to check AppData, ProgramData, Documents, and Program Files)
2. Clean any references to plugins that have failed to load into Reaper by clearing cache/rescanning in Reaper's settings (rescans ALL plugins) or by manually editing:

"C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\REAPER\reaper-vstplugins64.ini"

3. Open Notepad or a similar text editor and use the following format (without arrows), leaving no empty lines:

[LICENSE]
Key=<SerialFromKeygen>
User=<UserWithoutSpaces>

*** EXAMPLE FOR USER John Smith ***

[LICENSE]
Key=12345678901234
User=JohnSmith

4. Save the file as "license.lic" (remove .txt extension) in the corresponding folder:

"C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\Blue Cat Audio\Blue Cat's <PLUGIN>"

5. Verify that the plugin loads correctly
6. Enjoy!
