BFM or Big F*ing Meters is a macOS, Windows, and soon to be iOS compatible Metering plug-in designed exactly how the name sounds... really f*ing big. With the main goal of readability, we wanted to bring a meter that you can see from across the studio and keep your records clip-free. BFM currently offers 5 Modes with RMS, LUFs, Peak, and Peak Hold values, to give you a variety of views to keep your signal under control. The Text, Bars, Waves, VU Meters, Spectrum let you decide how you want to keep track of your signal.

Text gives you a quick look at just the values easy to see from across the room. This view offers the most values with RMS, Peak, Peak Hold, and LUFs values available. To reset Peak Hold click the value.
Bar offers a more traditional meter better for seeing the range of values showing RMS, Peak, and Peak Hold. To reset Peak Hold click the value in text or on the bar.
Wave view gives you a look at your waveform after your channel effects with the ability to quickly mark where you want to see your signals peak. To reset Peak Hold click the value.

VU Meters designed less for precision readings of your RMS, more of a quick look to make sure your incoming levels are what you expect.
Spectrum is a simplified frequency spectrum view. Great for getting a quick look at where your frequencies are when mixing or editing. There is also the PEAK value displayed on this page. To reset Peak Hold click the value.

Sadly, I think Klanghelm's VUMT is a better choice of VU, and the other options are kind of meh enough not to bother. 'text' is probably the most usable, but there's probably something I have that's equally as good in that space anyway.

I can't see any logical reason to bother with it when it ceases to be a freebie.

Oh, and the ballistics of the VU meter are utterly wrong anyway.

Is there a sensitivity setting? If not, I'm not even bothering with the install. I can make my other meters big as fuck too.

No, the only 'setting' is the choice of which of the 5 modes to use.

The VUMTdeluxe is part of my Holy Trilogy of metering plugins. It's criminally overlooked by a surprising number of people... saying nothing of the people who think that VU meters are a novelty relic of the past, or who're just largely disinterested in them because they aren't a manic, rainbow display of visual entertainment.
Also? Keep an eye on Klanghelm—Tony's supposed to be nearing completion on at least one of two plugins that have been in the works for a while now.

(110/320 MB??? Entire the Logic Pro is for example 1.* gb)

Oh, Boy! What happens with the world in the last years,
older and oldest 64 bits plugins are so clever and nice,
almost all of them ,just several MBs, but work perfectly.
And even about decade back we crossed the audio border
of all the requirements needed creating meaningful music,
full-fitted with all possibilities of a digital audio and more.
I'm glad always to see developers efforts at anyway where,
i only wonder and try to guess what forces skippin the past
and why run so intently to to find something well forgotten
(the same or worse ...) and similar is also in the hardware.
Just my opinion, only share to encourage and to confirm.
God bless you all here and there!
