GuitarML The Prince 1.0.0 Free (Win/Mac/Lnx) screenshot
12.2022 | 80 MB
The Prince is a plugin of my homebuilt transparent overdrive style pedal, cloned using neural networks. The graphics were created from actual photos of my pedal using a "stop motion" technique. The plugin features three GuitarML neural network models conditioned on the Gain and Tone knobs, one each for Overdrive, Boost, and Distortion modes.

The Prince should be used with an impulse response plugin (such as Pulse) to emulate playing the pedal through an amplifier. Use two instances of the Prince to emulate a highly sought after dual overdrive.
This plugin is intended as an example of how a pedal/amp builder (hobbyist or professional) can faithfully recreate their work in the digital world using neural networks.

Available formats (from installer):
-Windows 10/11, 64-bit (VST3, AAX)
-Mac 10.15 and up (AU, VST3, AAX)
-Linux (VST3, LV2)

Reaper will not detect it if you have Cradle The Prince VST3 version installed as well. Renaming the VST3 file also not working. Anybody knows how to make both work ?

Cubase also didn't detect it.
It makes no sense to say you’re not good at it. It’s like saying, “I’m not good at being a monk.” You are either living as a monk or you’re not.

After further testing on Reaper (didn't try them on Cubase, just made sure they loaded) I found out some of these plugins muted Reaper for some reason, removing them was the only solution.

My verdict: coding wise, at least, they are trash. Sorry.

there's a new installer on their website now. Developer said he fixed something, I contacted him and he said so. Now Reaper detects it. the version number is still the same v1.0.
