Tantrum a new take on digital distortion plugins, is born from the same unique phase distortion as in Temper, but has grown into a far more powerful, dynamic sound. Tantrum features two distortion stages. First, a wave shaping stage, featuring five classic curve shapes from soft tape saturation to aggressive foldback distortion. Next, a completely redesigned phase modulation distortion, taking the original input signal through a stereo delay to modulate the phase of the distorted signal, bringing new subtlety to “warmth” and new aggression to “overdrive.” Finally, Tantrum offers a gorgeous interface with reactive and interactive visualizations to help you get to the sound you need.

a great distortion plugin!

Tantrum has a fancy GUI that controls drive and phase distortion on an XY pad

it also lets you choose crossover point to either let hi-pass or lo-passed portion of the sound be affected by the distortion

i like to stick to the low pass so that i can have most of the sound affected by the distortion including the sub

and i also like to use tape mode for that 'warm crunchiness'

i also like Creative Intent's other plugin Temper

I think they fixed it in a newer version but this is the version I got my hands on. I will note that and release a new version some time later

Works fine in the VST2 plugin tho (WIN10/Ableton 11).

In they VST3 version, they accidentally added the "Program" param instead, which makes no sense (trying to automate it crashes Ableton).
