Raising Jake Studios Pristine Peaks v1.1.0 Incl Keygen [WIN MAC]-R2R screenshot
Team R2R | 15 Aug 2022 | 31.5MB
Pristine Peaks is an ultra-low distortion peak limiter for use in both mixing and mastering applications where the utmost in transparent peak control is required. Pristine Peaks uses a novel approach to dynamics control that produces a very "clean" sound that does not break up or distort even at high gain reduction amounts. Instead of saturating or clipping waveform peaks, Pristine Peaks determines what needs to be done to control the peaks and applies that gain change to the entire waveform. This results in extremely low THD that does not increase with gain reduction.

Pristine Peaks provides the following features:

Less than 0.005% THD at any gain reduction amount (20Hz-20kHz, ISP on).
No aliasing.
Oversampling option for ISP detection.
4 choices of Dither (16 and 24-bit).
Linear Phase input High Pass Filter.
Up to 20dB of limiter drive gain + 20dB of Ceiling range.
Attenuation and Gain Compensated listening modes.
Peak hold meters that capture the max gain reduction.
Mono and stereo channel applications.

Pristine Peaks is the ideal limiter of choice for music and post-production applications where clean, high quality limiting is required without saturation or clipping of the source material.

Strange.
How did you measure it ? What DAW ? Soundcard ? OS ?

I tested it in Sequoia / Win10 x64, ASIO on MAGiX Big Ben - so very basic - : there is no such problem. ( Sequoia compensates all VST plugins ; same for Samplitude ; same in fact with external hardware. )

The real problem(s) is (are) the claims of the dev.

Tried this for 1,5 hour yesterday, 1 hour just now.

Sequoia / Win10 x64, ASIO on MAGiX Big Ben.

Compared it to one of my fav : Ircam Flux Pure Limiter v3 - same price - . Comparison at 44 kHz, 48 kHz and 96 kHz.

The Flux wins by far : so transparent, so simple, even at exagerated settings.

For similar ones, it was hard to get the R J not pumping. The dev pretends that it " retains transients better ", I don't hear that and the Δ reveals it clearly : you can listen to your track though in it, which is abnormal. Or the Δ is wronly programmed ( ?! ).

Also :
The " Gain Comp " does not do its job ?
Which dither is used ?
There is not much at all in the manual.

Hi DAW.

the dither is pretty self explanatory. it's either 16b or 24b, flat or noise shaped. (right side of the main panel)

I think, although the dev himself gives some confusing and contradictory explanations on forums, this is more like a peak tamer not a "loud maker" ... which would not be that bad since we have enough bickwall limiters to choose from.

Hello Nanook.

I read those dither settings but : which type ? More precisely for well known examples : POW-r #1 , POW-r #2 , POW-r #3, Apogee UV22 HR, Weiss Saracon and the industry standard TPDF...

We ( both ) know those but here... " confusing " for sure. And then the pumping... Aouch...

Thanks for answering .
