Mhm, this looks pretty interesting. However, I can't think of any useful scenarios when you should use something like this (besides the 3 examples of the video which seem a bit forced to me). Any ideas?

Right, the video is not the best demo. The first example can be done with routing in any DAW.
But, Dividing CPU consumption between several computers, seems the best application to me.

Well, as far as I can understand, the most obvious and powerful use of this plug-in is that you can now use inside Logic (for example) all the Windows-only plug-ins available on audioz that you could never access in Logic. Opens a lot of possibilities all of a sudden if you link a PC to your Mac via Ethernet port...

There are countless uses for a plugin like this, if it works perfectly and with very low latency.
The first one that comes to mind is to separate mixing on one computer with mastering on another, for reasons of insufficient power on a single machine.And what about writing only midi parts on the first computer, playing them with different plugins on another computer and bringing the audio output of each plugin back to the first computer to record them. Just to give two examples.

This package doesn't install properly under Win 10 on my system. The setup plants a desktop shortcut to an application that doesn't exist, and Reaper hangs infinitely during the vst boot up scan, scanning this plug.

The legit demo does work under Win10, but there's nothing like low latency between sending and recving across hosts. A natural use would be hosting heavy duty plugs (such as anything Acustica) out of single coring DAWs such as Studio One or Ableton and in a multithreading DAW such as Reaper on the same machine. It works, sort of, but needs 200ms buffering to ensure a stable stream (on the demo on my machine).

I concur, experienced the exact same thing (Win 10/FL 20). Was very much looking forward to routing another DAW's specific plugs across to FL, but it seems this installation has a major issue atm

For me also (Win 10) the package doesn't install properly. Icon on the desktop pointing to a missing .exe file and VST can't find a "skin" file (maybe wrong directory names).

that's probably because you need to activate it. In reaper the window doesn't show up, but using another daw solved the issue. Then there was the problem of the GUI not loading, but after going into the folder and selecting it everything works fine

I used Studio one to activate, when the daw scan the plugins, a registration window pops up. For the GUI just go into the option of the plugin and choose it manually...it's nothing that difficult to solve honestly

I confirm that there is no .exe standalone and both vst 2 and vst3 are not working installations misses some important files... perharps working on a MAC

But PC no way is it possible to repack ?

Ok, got this to work, Windows 10, Couldn't get standalone to work but I really don't need that. Reaper hung on vst load but once I tried with Cubase it prompted me for registration and using the keygen, it scanned correctly. As far as the skins prompt, select to find manually and go to:
Program Files/Blue Cat Audio/Blue Cat's Connector/BC Connector Data/Skins/default. xml
