AmpCraft 1992 – High Gain Legend

AmpCraft - 1992 represents the first in a new line of amp modeling plugins. Focused on being the world's most accurate emulation of a legendary high gain tube amplifier used on countless albums and tours, this plugin also includes 4 overdrive pedal emulations, a noise gate, as well as a dual-channel IR loader with EQ and speaker dynamics emulation, with a selection of critically acclaimed Recabinet impulse responses.

Features
Highly accurate, touch sensitive emulation of the famous American "block letter" high gain tube amplifier, known for its crushing lead channel.
Higher-headroom clean/crunch channel than the hardware - enjoy sparkling true clean and mid-gain tones with no fuss, for versatile use across many musical genres outside of hard rock and metal.
4 overdrive pedals:
808 - Based on the latest, limited boutique Japanese "808" pedal with handpicked vintage ICs, this is a smooth overdrive that sculpts attack beautifully all the way from blues to metal.
66 - Based on the modern boutique EQ/boost pedal made famous by one of the most influential Swedish metal bands.
Stockholm - Based on the legendary Japanese-built pedal known for its buzzsaw distortion that became a staple in the early Swedish deathmetal scene.
Djrive - Based on the modern boutique overdrive pedal that has become an industry standard tool of the modern prog metal scene, this model has selectable voicings that make it useful in a variety of tunings for precise adjustment of picking attack response.
Noise gate - the G8 pedal model is based on a popular single-knob noise gate pedal that has been fine tuned for the needs of the modern metal player.
2 channel Cabinet IR loader with the following features:
4 included Cabinet IR packs from the Recabinet - Remastered collection, with 8 mic models on each cabinet.
1960 4x12 - Based on the legendary modern British 4x12
Green 4x12 - Based on the legendary vintage 70s British 4x12
Oversize 4x12 - Based on an American oversized Baltic Birch 4x12 cabinet
Tangerine 4x12 - Based on a modern British cabinet known for a classic-style voicing and colorful design.
Variable blending - psychoacoustically level matched in the center position.
4 band EQ
Speaker dynamics control
Stereo Panning (when used in a stereo instance)
Adjustable short delay (useful when mixing IRs from different makers, to account for phase discrepancies.)
Solo and phase reverse toggles
Oversampling - up to 32x

Great amp simulation. Really sound close like real 5150 which I´ve unfortunely sell.
Can somebody tell me if it is so much CPU hungry like previous version or they fixed it?

It runs on windows 10 /cubase 10.5 but i unistall it because i have Neural DSP' ones that sound better. I think that the real alternative to Neural DSP plugins are Tonehub and Amphub ... release like this are ( appreciated but ) useless ...

ToneHub is cool for playing. I get that real vibe which I get from the amp but in the mix, the neural plugins are much more easier to handle to get good results. For sure on rhyth guitars. For additional guitar sounds I am sometimes using ToneHub to save some CPU as the more instances from neural are really killer on my i5 processor. Wish I have Apple with M1 processor which can handle everything.

and remember what work for you cant work for other people
i own the Kemper Stage and Axe 3 but i like to try plugins just for fun
and to be honest i dont really like Neural plugins i prefer TH-U and Amplitube

Hey man ...I installed the plugin, i tried it and tested its compatibility with cubase and win 10 ... then I wrote my impression. Do you like what I wrote? Okay, well, all happy ... you don't you like it? that's okay too, i don't care about your preferences ...if you want to write something in this post write about this plugin, not about other users comments ... it's the rules of Audioz ... "Comments are open to discuss the release, not to make pointless statements, post requests or ask for new links. You will be freezed from comments for this violation."
Next time i will report to the admin.

Is totally wrong. This is not the way AudioZ works, you misunderstood the meaning of the rules.
Here members discuss each one's opinions, and it's a good thing, specially when done with detailed arguments.
Also, remember, once you decide to state your opinion publicly, be ready for the controversy, that's life.

What can be reported here, are personal attacks, these are useless and are not an argument.

I think this Amp is great, as I own Audio Assault AHM5050, Nembrini 8080, Amplitube 5, THU, Bias FX 2, ML Sound Roots, it's all about tweaking, IR's and taste, and the most important, your guitar, interface and audio skills.

So thank you very much for this release.

Best regards

Is it heavy on CPU?

When I first tried this plugin a while back I was a little disappointed. Not sure why because the last week or two I been using it again and I love it now! Thank you so much for this update, I'm looking forward to having it on standalone!! I have a few go-to plugs for most things but I always appreciate new releases, I, or others, usually find some use for them and they are fun to check out. Releasing this was definitely not useless, not for me anyways. Thank you for sharing!

@Buhdurkachomp Maybe this update have the plugin working better.

Some times people state their opion about a plugin that they've tried several versions ago ... But they don't try new ones.
Luckily, developers tend to get their plugins working better with time.

The strange thing is that I started really liking this sim before ever updating it! I was let down at first but later wound up really liking the same version. Looks like this one has standalone so I probably wind up getting it when I have time. Thanks Oly!

it was CPU hungry for me too. Tested this new version in the Standalone mode, i really like the sound, but it misses something crucial and obvious for a standalone version, a tuner.

Thanks for the share, I'm sure it's awesome but I have too many choices already! Overloud & BIAS FX are my main gotos for guitar & Cerberus for bass.
