First off, thank you very much for this. Looks to be a pretty basic sampler with not too many presets/samples, but I appreciate the upload!

4.5 gigs for 20 sounds? Thanks but I pass.

Anything with Illusion by Imagination is good shit. Anyone who likes Imagination is a cool modafakar! Thanks for effort and sharing.

Sharing is caring!

You're showing your age...but yeah, fond memories for me too. And it does have the Shine On lead, which I always look out for. Still, 4.5GB is a bit much.

You can try the Shine on thing in OP-X PRO-II (there´s a preset) plus hundreds of very good sounds at only 15-30 mbs.

Thanks rudolph. I haven't tried that. I still use the Rumpelrausch Crazy Diamond free VST. It's limited but brilliant. I'll give the OP a try.

EDIT: just tried it....oh, those sounds. Love it.

There's two Pink Floyd preset banks for the Arturia Synth Collection that sound dead-on (including synths from "Animals", "Wish You Were Here", "The Wall" and "Dark Side of the Moon"). And they're definitely not 4.5 GBs.

Also, I just checked out the demos for this. Yeesh. I strongly advise anybody else contemplating this download to do the same beforehand.

Hi Iggy. I was that a few weeks ago and promptly forgot (show my age more than The Pirate's love for Imagination). Thanks for the reminder. I'll give that road test too.

EDIT: just checked the last VR release for this. Not sure what synth has those presets are for. I suppose you mean the Floyd Tribute pack Vol.2. Not available here for PC but the packs are really cheap and worth buying).

The two Floyd Tribute packs work with both PC and Mac -- they're just Arturia preset banks and work with the last few versions of the Synth Collection. You might have to go hunting for them, but they're around.

This VI sounds like they sampled an Oberheim OB-Xa (possibly itself a plug), a Mellotron, maybe a Minimoog and a DX-7, all stuff you can find in soft-synth form.

Got the packs. Thanks a lot Iggy.

Do you have a link to these packs?

Do a search on "Arturia Presets Floyd Tribute". You'll find the two packs. One is Mac only (on here, you can buy the PC version online: it's really cheap).

Let's be grateful for the free plugin and grateful to the guy who made it. And please feel free to post your own better-made plugins that are smaller in size at any time for critique :)
Stay safe.

Cliquid was asking for appreciation of the effort put in and the generosity for sharing. His remark about "better made plugins" was merely an invitation for you, and not a challenge. Perhaps you should think longer and harder, and not get too upset when others point out YOUR errors, as you so easily did to the anonymous poster.

No worries, challenge or not, I'm ok with disagreeing. Though, if someone knitted me a jumper and gave it to me as a gift, but I didn't like it, I wouldn't say it was "Shite" to them, I would merely display gratitude for their effort and never wear it. My choice, my jumper. As you know little about the poster, how would you feel if you posted your first attempt and someone pointed out that it was crap? How does anyone develop? Should it be through sever mocking criticisms, like on the playground, or by constructive observations as did those first to respond to this post. Nuff said already?

We can be thankful AND critical. There is no contradiction in this.
Stating opinions is part of AudioZ, and they are welcome being positive or negative, specially if well argued.

Btw: It's a rompler, not a synth, so that partially explain the size.

Thank for sharing, I thinks it's a Maize rompler, samples are just embedded without compression like Kontakt banks. This maybe explain the big size.
Otherwise 80's inspired free plugins is always a good things : )

Exactly Sir.

The correct answer is Maize Sampler.
In this environment, you can easily plug in your own samples and commercialize them, so it is often used by medium-sized sample vendors.

Normally, the plugin itself and the data (~~ .instrumets) folder cannot be moved, but the data (* .instruments) can be moved to a different drive other than the location where the plugin was copied at the junction, so it does not put pressure on the HDD. You just have to remember the junction commands.

In the same location as the DLL
mklink / J <~~ .instruments> yourdrive: \ your directry \ <~~ .instrumets (inside.mse (maize data)>

For those concerned about the size, don't worry about 4.5 gigs...

It's actually 7.3 GB once fully expanded haha

For whatever reason they sampled everything in 32 bit
