SideMinder ME is an advanced and feature-packed version of the original SideMinder with up to three independent bands of stereo width control plus extended range Bass Narrow control. Additional features include selectable input/output correlation metering, stereo/mono and normal/delta outputs for quickly auditioning SideMinder ME’s action.

Also included is an “Advanced” control section for those who want to fine tune SideMinder ME’s Width Limiter section. SideMinder ME can be used to enhance and control the stereo width of mixed program material and can add a “3D” quality that has to be heard! As in the original SideMinder, SideMinder ME is not a compressor and does not affect the dynamics of your mix, only the stereo width. SideMinder ME does not add any ambience but brings out the width in the original source material. Like the original SideMinder, SideMinder ME works with stereo signals and will not generate stereo from a mono source.

Now supports AudioSuite processing (AAX).
Extended range of crossover frequencies in 2-band mode.
Fixed a bug in AAX versions that was preventing automation of button parameters.
Added missing presets to VST3 versions.
Fixed a bug in VST2 version where user settings were not being saved in the project in some hosts.

In my opinion this and similar stuff is like trying to make a quick patch to an aready poor mix.

If I put this in my master, it would ruin the space that I carefully create.

It is always much better to solve spatial perception including phase problems directly in the mix at a track and bus level, the results are worth the effort.

I can see your point, however after testing this thing out it is a very handy tool to pull in any potential phase issues that may have been created by multiple or layered sounds.

Of course it can be used for that, however, there are mettering tools that allow a better interpretation to detect where those phase issues arise, that allows to correct each track in a precise and creative way, this process can be more laborious, but the sound results are much better than using this kind of apps, since many times certain sounds that I had already had in a precise point in space, are completely ruined in that location when usug this kind of stuff.
I always prefer that the space I conceptualize in the mix remains after mastering.

i think it as real good use, you can use this only on a solo synth track with good results
