These plugins sound so close to the original consoles, even experts who work with SSL boards day in and day out can’t tell the difference. With the EQ and dynamics of the vintage SSL mixers at your fingertips, you can now give your mixes the SSL sound of the big studios.

not really sure how it works in mac "yet" but in windows:

GO TO : C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Plug-Ins V9

in each and one of these folders, change the the PNG_.zip rar with the corresponded one from the downloaded rar :

SSLChannel.bundle > Contents > Resources > PNG_.zip

SSLComp.bundle > Contents > Resources > PNG_.zip

SSLEQ.bundle > Contents > Resources > PNG_.zip

try to translate that to mac tho, good luck.

For Mac do the same as above, the .bundle files are in /Applications/Waves/Plug-Ins V9/ -- right click the bundle file and "Show Package Contents"

If you want to keep the Standard Stock Skin to recover it maybe in the future, just rename the PNG_.zip to PNG_.zip.bak und copy the new Skin PNG_.zip in the same Folder.

Tried to do so and it didn't work, since all original images actually didn't have an extension and just replacing resources didn't work (it led to black GUIs).
If anybody has the same problem just remove all .png extensions from thenatan's images, and then replace. A handy tool to do so is bulk rename utility, which is free.

Hey Rhino,

You need to go to the Windows "Folder Options", under "View" you need to uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" ... now you should see the extension of files!

Waves Plugins Are The Hardest/Complex Ones To Redesigning , Every Plugin Has About 400/500 .Png Files , Also They Need Fine Calibrating.
As You See The G-Master Buss Compressor Has A Vu Meter That Shows What Is Going On , I Spend About A Week To Just Calibrate The Meters And Slider/Knobs.
It Is Really A Challenge To Redesign These Kind Of Goodies.

Awesome. I just wished the Red light from the SSL EQ would be brighter/more intense than the yellow. When calibrating the meters, does red actually mean digital clipping at 0 dBFS or what was the actual output – did you check that b any chance?

It's Not Yellow , It Is Red

SSL G-Equalizer Indicators
Meter section The output meter indicates mono/stereo output level, displayed in dBFS.
Note that all parameters for the SSL 4000 Collection processors are expressed in dBu, in keeping with the original analogue SSL 4000 console.
Output levels, however, must be expressed in dBFS, since the processor operates in a digital environment.

I know it's red. I think you misunderstood me. I said, I wished the red would be brighter than the yellow. Because the dark red is overlooked easily now. Thanks for the explanation of the metering. I guess you mean dBVU.
