Except Bidule can actually handle multithreading whereas the Fruity patcher cannot. That is a HUGE difference imho. Hands down Bidule wins every time on so many levels. It can even do Open Sound Control (OSC) and spectral processing.

I agree completely. This soft/plugin at first sight seems pretty cool, so is logical thinking in other modular plugins (Studio One 3 has some functionalities in v3 too) but when you dive in the features you realize you can build most plugins with just a graphical interface.

1) Many basic synths included
2) Most of the important basic sound effects included
3) same for MIDI, and add a very powerful MIDI /OSC feature set.
4) can host almost every VST, even you can use it as a VST3 to VST2 wrapper (or some similar combo)
5) open community to share projects, if you want a complex plugin you can probably make it downloading what other users develop and then tweaking for your needs

This means, for example, that you can build a very complex plugin graphically in minutes, including several third party VSTs mixed, run it standalone in a slave LAN computer and managing it from the host DAW/computer synchronization included, just making a simple module in VST format to manage the remote one.

I'd be using Bidule several months ago if the SDK were available for non-legit. With the SDK you can pretty much do almost anything. Unfortunately I only want to develop a very particular MIDI to MIDI plugin so I don't need the most powerful features but I'd need the SDK for simple but specific MIDI tasks.

I think the only software that outperforms this gem in the modular plugins field is Cycling MAX/MSP, but MAX/MSP is a giant MIDI/audio/video all purpose software and it wouldn't be a fair comparison.

the 32 bit version always reverts back to demo,
and refuses any new keyfile made by the keygen.
I have tried this on two PC's,one not connected to the internet at all.

Hi there,

Getting an error when scanning my plugins.
Win7 64bit, all my plugins in ableton working fine.
On the other hand in pro tools hd 10.3.9 I want to use a few plugins which are not RTAS specially Slate, when scanning bilude VST slate, most of them are loaded e.g VBC FG-Grey.dll
however Slate mix rack.dll and tape machines.dll are giving me the following error message:

these vst problems were encountered
caused an error while trying to access its infos in Virtual Mix Rack.dll,
same goes for Virtual Tape Machine.dll

Anybody has a clue of what is going on and a solution ?
