Thanks for the info Artic, what's the best way to go about setting up 2 x User Libraries, so 11 and 12 can co-exist together on Win 11 please?

Why not just share the same User Library? Thats what I did with Beta, it worked fine.

tags wont work and sometimes you want to use set settings in presets, which Live 11 doesnt have.
also if you change something in the tags, it wont be reflected in the other version.

thats why i simply copied the Live 11 User Library folder and linked it in Live 12. So that i have two User Library folder, which are separate. (i dont really have much in these folders anyway, just essential rack template for synths with init presets and devices added.)

works great for me, it does separate VST3 and VST2 plugins and you can still tag with colors or even make rack templates and put them in the folder structure you like. I wouldnt bother with the new browser anyway, the old idea with color tags worked fine for me and i can stop caring about if a plugin is vst3 or not.

This is a biggest fnck up for me. This new bookmark shit system is a junk. With folders I could rearrange it the way I wanted to: synths, best, utility whatever now its a one long list that you have to go bookmark plugin by plugin. Its fine if you have just 5 plugins but what about 5000?! Just a Waves bundle its more than a hundred

but why have a gazllion plugins? i have <250 plugins, which i sorted via rack template and those i have put in folders, which i color tagged, works like a charm for me. no need for a folder plugin structure

12 is a great update for library organization if you take the time to tag everything. I am sure they'll roll out auto tagging for sounds in the future.

so instal the offical dmg,

pen it so its code signed

then edit the hex with a hex editor

then deep code sign again

It wont work that way you need to patch it on your system.

run the app official app, let it know its demo


then open the app contents/macos then in there there is a binary file just called live


use the hex patch onto that file

DO NOT OPEN YET

''sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - ''

paste exactly that into termianl INCLUDING THE SPACE AFTER THE HYPHEN ITS REQUIRED


then drag live binary into terminal and that will code sign and live sould open


once its opened and it still needs ctivation this is when you can use the keygen

YOU NEED TO PATCH THE BINARY BEFORE PATCHIGN


this is for anyone who wants to learm the process as its already out.

the UI shortcuts have turned into ctrl+alt+3 through 7, the browser is still ctrl alt B tho. You can also bring up the mixer in arrangement view with ctrl+alt+M.
