Hi Audioz, this is my first comment here so please excuse my complete noobness but I just wanted to ask since this is one of the first times i've ever done something like this, I'm not sure how to follow through with the instructions given? I can't seem to find a patch in that file so I'm thinking do I need to go back and find an earlier version of kontakt to install to have this add on to it? thanks again guys, excuse my noobness.

Your anti virus program (Windows Defender or something else) deleted patch file. It has to be in root of your installation folder.
Download it again, but disable anti virus before or try to find it in archive file. Windows Defender delete suspicion file in archive if is not protect with password.

Thank you very much for the fast response, I see what you mean now, rookie mistake!

Just ran it through virustotal's website, not sure but 80% of vendors flag it as trojan? I feel like 4Aco-DMT in this thread earlier on might've been on to something with the patcher being a little suspicious, have you installed it? Again, I hope that's not a stupid question... thanks!

All bobdule releases are safe (at least here on audioz), he's a well known character specialized on native instruments stuff. False positives can be a thing when you download cracked or patched warez, learn to deal with it properly, don't be afraid to ask, take your cautions and you'll be happy!

again dude , its flagging up as the actual discription for what the threat actually is.......Its quite the mind f actually

If it was a false positive , then various vendors would flag it as one and or different things with inconsistencies... any idea how ilogical it is to say something is a false postive when actually it is what its saying it is... ?????

Il be avoiding this one , i think most of you would be safe installing it , since im sure 100s prehaps thousands are anyways and so remotly targetting one individual would be tricky and niether would they get away with it if it did happen,forums are very active here

Not only this , updates like these are like making your home too comfy , ie noone is planning on buying it , they have a new zoom feature though. Testing the sole product is good enough

i think more and more companies will start doing subscription based , rent to own to make this easier on us with lack of funds..
Splice is pritty good for this , although shame they aint got Ableton on there yet.

I Installed it, and I scanned with windows defender (specially ni kontakt 7 folder).
No issue at all.
But 100% right answer can give you only bobdule.

I suggest you guys perform a full uninstall with deep registry cleaning using Revo Uninstaller Pro and remove everything you find from previous installations (referring to Kontakt 7 - don't forget to save your scripts, presets, etc). Install the new version provided by Bob Dule and voilΓ !

every time i want to add a Library it says i have to install Native Acces. But it is installed

check your Kontakt_button.exe location value

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\ALSupport]

adjust the path in case it don't use the default value.
if the file is missing or not linked it will show this alert instead of open the kontakt button.
you can also launch it manually from anywhere to add a library.

unlucky users are generally doing something wrong before report it don't works.

the patcher change few bytes, extract kontakt button, add the regedit key ... and that's all.
no ransom will be demanded since this is a non-commercial version.
windows defender and virustotal alerts are made to thrill credulous cyber security clients.
it works every time with simpletons informers. whereas indicating a non-responsive patcher would be more productive in order to avoid the next one.
