If you don't have python3 then install it using brew. Then call python3 install command:


brew install python3


then just go to download folder and call the crack command. For example:

cd ~/Downloads/PLACE_YOUR_PATH_TO_RELEASE_FOLDER_HERE
sudo python3 patch_korg_gadget.py


all this you have to do after installing .dmg file

Ok finally got it working for Mojave. Copy patch_korg_gadget.py to root Users/ (your) Username folder and then run sudo python3 patch_korg_gadget.py in terminal

if your still confused you have to literality drag and drop the patch file to your user folder then open terminal and copy n paste the sudo command and hit enter

For who didn't get the way to patch it.
Open Terminal and write:
sudo python3


Then drag and drop the patch file you get into the SunLover folder, after uncompress (don't forget space between "python3" and the patch file.)

Try Right click patch and open with Python3 and it should open Terminal then enter sudo python3 patch_korg_gadget.py

I had to reinstall both Korg installers first btw. Something get messed up.

The weird thing is if I choose open with Python3 the terminal do not open

Restart M1. Make sure the patch is in root user folder like

As you can see from the screenshot my user folder is called Kaboosh so whatever yours is put the patch in there.

Make sure Python3 is launching and you can see the icon in the dock.

Are you on Big Sur? Just realised you have M1, so only install the first Korg installer. Not the one named Options.

I would remove Korg Gadget of all traces with App cleaner&uninstaller and try from scratch again.

Find the stand-alone in the Applications folder, right click and tick the Rosetta box. That worked for me on an M1.

Go to your applications folder in the finder and right click (or control click) on the KORG Gadget app, then select "Get Info"; you should see a box that you can tick "Open Using Rosetta"; tick that and all should be well.

That should sort the Stand-Alone option; for the plugins, you need to run your host app (e.g. Ableton) in Rosetta mode using the same technique.
