Melodyne is a software application for OS X or Windows with which you can edit audio in a more musical way than was ever thought possible. In Melodyne, you work with notes – and not with a meaningless wave form. You don’t just see where the music gets louder or quieter but also where notes begin and end and at what pitch they lie.

You can modify each note and thereby influence directly the intonation, phrasing and dynamics – and do this not only with vocals and monophonic instruments but with polyphonic instruments such as pianos and guitars as well.

Working with Melodyne is like being able to say to a vocalist “sing this note a bit longer” or to a pianist “give slightly less weight to the third in this chord” – hours, weeks, even years after the recording session.

Thank u very much. Works great in Cubase 8.5 like plug-in. Can it works as stand alone?? ¨Cause I couldn´t make it work and the Tempo Option only works in stand alone mode.

You put the files into the wrong folder. They are supposed to sit in the ROOT/library/Application Support/Celemony/Bundles folder and not in the USER/YOU/Library/... folder.

For Logic pro x

1: Drag everything to the proper folder
2: Code sign each plugins, the bundle files and the application
3: After go get Permissions Reset and run everything in it one at a time, so plugins, bundle files and the application.
4: Start standalone first and then close it
5: Run Logic Pro and let it scan your audio unit
6: Load an empty track and load melodyne on it
7: You should have by now a functionnal standalone and a working plugin in Logic Pro X

I've been working on this since yesterday...and now the weirdest thing is happening. I deleted everything from my original install last night, unrar'ed a new copy, followed your instructions to the T (even talking to myself out loud like a lunatic)...Logic still wouldn't authenticate it on launch. Then I realize I could go into plugin manager in Logic's preferences, which I did, and authentication succeeded. The plugin opened, BUT now every time I hover my mouse over to close the tutorial video, I get the spinning rainbow wheel of death and I can't do anything. Ideas?

yeah same boat here. I can actually get it to work sometimes, but then eventually the wheel of death comes. i think i have a permissions problem in my system, because after i use permission reset tool, i'll go back to the plugs and bundles and the "staff" and "everyone" groups are still not read and write.

Question: in wich library/application supports have you dropped the celemony folder?? It has to be on the root of the drive and not in djmini/library/apl..... just a heads up ;)

Also before going in logic make sure to start the standalone first, sometime it need that so the plugins and standalone works flawlessly. I know that some Native Instruments works that way.

HOW TO

First make sure that you have Xcode installed.

If you don't have it or don't want to download Xcode here how to get it work without Xcode.

Install command line tools without Xcode


Place all the files where they go.

Codesign: On your Mac open the terminal and execute the following ONE BY ONE:

#1 Copy/Paste and hit enter


sudo codesign -f -s - /Library/Application\ Support/Celemony/Bundles/MelodyneCoreCarbon-4.0.2.003.sbb



- Then you are asked for your password. Type it in and hit return. (ONCE)


#2 Do the same for the following files.

sudo codesign -f -s - /Library/Application\ Support/Celemony/Bundles/MelodyneCoreCocoa-4.0.2.003.sbb

sudo codesign -f -s - /Library/Application\ Support/Propellerhead\ Software/ReWire/MelodyneReWireDevice.bundle


You also have to do this with the plug ins.

sudo codesign -f -s - /Library/Application\ Support/Digidesign/Plug-Ins/Melodyne.dpm

sudo codesign -f -s - /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Melodyne.component

sudo codesign -f -s - /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Melodyne.vst3

sudo codesign -f -s - /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Melodyne.vst


I did the same with the Melodyne.app (You don't have to)

sudo codesign -f -s - /Applications/Melodyne\ 4/Melodyne.app



Now download this app (Permissions Reset) and reset the Melodyne.app permissions.
