As long as the teams won't test it on Yosemite 10.2.2 with Logic 10.1 or 10.1.1 many of their releases won't work. It is as simple as that.

Even legit developers who do the same have problems with their products!

yeah kptainfllou is unfortunately right.... yosemite causes a heap load of problems, even with people I know running 100% legit systems, ..so most audio folks have stayed away from it... devs hate it, etc... so reversers don't even want to mess with it that much, let alone install it on their system.... it will happen.... just growing pains. most of us didn't want to move from snow leopard! and wouldn't have unless NI etc made us essentially. Most solid OSX i have used since os9.1 i think.....

Well, being an Apple tech I have to say that sometimes people are forced to move forwards. You can't run the old OS's forever. Case in point, I just bought a brand new Mac Pro and there is NO going backwards on OS's, so people who are forced to run Yosemite get screwed I guess. Sad thing is, is it should not be this way. If the devs started paying better attention to the new OS's sooner as they come out the "growing pain" process wouldn't be as long and drawn out. I mean I look at it this way, EVERYONE at some point is going to be forced to move forward like it or not (if you ever buy a new machine) so why not bite the bullet and start working on your code for Yosemite. It isn't like Apple doesn't get dev versions of their OS out LONG before they go public... Just sayin' yeah I know people want to bag on Yomesite, but inherently it is NOT a bad OS, things are buggy because as you said the dev hate it, and they hate it because they hate work lol. They don't want to rework any code...

true true , you are absolutely right, the devs are 1. lazy 2. fuck it. and 3. apple has a moving target a lot of times for development where the devs can get screwed by shifting parameters etc. I get it, and it blows. And trying to get your stuff through the apple store? that can be absurd as hell.

Of course we all have to move forward.... (or actually we can stay in place if we are happy with our "working" systems... hell, a little tech work and calibration and I am fine with a studer and a neve console...)...

Same here, I'm not a apple tech but i did buy a new Mbp and mine came with Yosemite and their is no option to downgrade unless you find a untouched App Store Mavericks torrent..

i'm pretty sure it is possible to downgrade somehow...

anyways, onto a lighter subject... I really need to get my beastly PC to run as a Hackintosh... that is gonna f'n be amazing I bet.
I finally can tune a drum set

As of today there's no way to downgrade. Apple purposedly change stuff in EFI and kernels so that old version just can't be installed on new machines.
Hackintosh is the solution. Want good old SnowLeo? Just install it.
Ok, you don't get the shiny case to show off, but what's inside is same/better.
If you don't mind thunderbolt probably.

I somewhat disagree with you on that Copylefter. The main reason i bought my mbp instead of going the hackintosh route was because hackintoshs are just to unstable imho. Maybe the Hackintosh route is good for smart people that know what they are doing (such as yourself) but for most people that just want to be able to use their system with a apple os and don't want all the extra hassle of troubleshooting the computer all the time then i would recommend a mac. The reason i say this is after reading multiple forums and actually experiencing issues myself with a hackintosh i wouldn't really recommend it. Put it this way, say you get the hackintosh up and running so you decide to install all your music software and everything is working fine, a couple of days later you go to boot your computer and to your surprise it wont boot as you are getting a kernel panic. Now comes troubleshooting time, you spend along time entering various commands to get it to go and still no success so you reinstall it all again and your computer decides to do a update or something that once again sends your computer to boot errors . Now lets say hypothetically you are working on music for client, then the above happens, you pretty much stuffed.. Anyway the other issues i see with a hackintosh is your hardware, if you dont have the right hardware then good luck installing a mac os on you system, even if you do mange to get it installed you still need to find kext for all your other hardware to work and unless you have a custom build then it's pretty much impossible to get a stable system with 100% compatible hardware. Wouldn't you rather have the stability? Anyway just my opinion
  Resident 25.01.2014 2385

I'm with you MrAnonymous, as STABILITY is the most CRUCIAL thing to me…. I'm one of those OCD idiots who CCC's his boot drive every day, and it has saved my ass more times then not…. always on a deadline etc…. You can make a screaming hackintosh system for 1/3-1/2 the cost, but I too dipped my toe in those waters or investigated it, and it seemed like i would be spending a LOT of time doing stuff I don't really feel like doing. I am certain there are many others here smarter and better then I on such things that have had no problems or can quickly diagnose the issue, but I hate being caught with my pants down! and I know I will find a way to screw the pooch on it!

been using hackintosh for more than 4 years and never ever had a crash or something. in last 4 years i used 2 gigabyte motherboards and both of them were full stable. i had used 10.6, 10.7 and now 10.8.4 and everything was great. if you use gigabyte motherboards with good and supported graphic cards, you hackintosh will be full stable

Am also a Mac tech, and am fine with LX and Yosemite; no issues with 3rd party plugins here. I only use Ozone in standalone anyway, so...am looking forward to this. thanx!

Thats the code I tried... but I did each plugin separately, and not all of them batched together like that; so i kept getting errors.

But fuckn HELL YEAH!!!!

thanks so much attenuation... will try later this morning... got to go to bed first

EDIT: So, I re-installed, ran the code.. which worked in terminal... but when I opened logic, I got an error and the only plugin that successfully validated was Dynamic EQ... could be cuz I batchmodded the installer ; however...

once I opened Logic (which luckily didn't crash) I opened the PLugin Validation Utility thing in preferences and selected all the crashed-validation Ozone 6 plugins and SUCCESSFULLY validated them from within that... in other words:

THANK YOU attenuation!!!
