DIVA - Dinosaur Impersonating Virtual Analogue Synthesizer

The oscillators, filters and envelopes closely model components found in some of the great monophonic and polyphonic synthesizers of yesteryear. Modules can be mixed and matched so you can build hybrids, but what sets DIVA apart is the sheer authenticity of the analogue sound. This comes at the cost of quite a high CPU-hit, but we think it was worth it: Diva is the first native software synth that applies methods from industrial circuit simulators (e.g. PSpice) in realtime. The behaviour of zero-delay-feedback filters when pushed to the limit clearly demonstrates the advantages of this groundbreaking approach.

seems like more cracking noise reports than not which is more like a bomb than buffer or cpu.

it works just make sure your putting it in the right application support folder because i ended up putting it in the one that isn't hidden the first time.

It was me and one more guy and I'm really sorry you got upset because we didn't get it right, it's not the reason to get pissed on others because of us, it was the first time I even search for that hidden folder so excuse me for not having so much time to crack my new system, really I'm spending more time dealing with production.

No actually… you don't no
In the finder, Goto menu/Go to folder…/ (or type Cmd/Shift/G)
Then type "~/Library/" without the quotes and hit the OK button. Hey presto ! there you are inside the invisible folder wink

It seems to me that only certain few patches crackle. It might be just this version 1.0 along with some possibly badly written patches. Hopefully it will work well enough till someone figures out how to crack the more recent version.

crackling seems to have nothing to do with buffer size or resolution and is produced at set intervals even if I load a patch and play nothing.... on OS X 10.6.8 Logic 9.1.7.... not complaining, just reporting.

Seems to be true! yes I have noticed a short noise like a Grey noise coming up every minute. It could prove that the crack does not work....

everything is where the txt file told me to put it.... but guess what??? you're right....!!! don't put the prefs file in the user/prefs folder... it goes in user/application support. Has somebody already figured this out and I'm a bit retarded? anyway... thanks... :)

Thanks for your upload BUT:

Using Logic 9 on an intel, and it still crackles
no matter what. All the files are where they are
supposed to be. I've rebooted Logic and restarted
the computer several times, but it doesn't help.
The sounds play and the presets are there but still
the crackling.

I did exacltly the mistake indicated by grdh20xgman ("you sure your patch is in users/"your name"/library/application support, and not the main library/application support?")....

Now it is working and there isn't any noise/crackle :)

Thanks for this release....it seems something is moving here :)

I hope that version 1.1 will be released soon because of the Cpu overload.

Is it me or is Diva overrated? They made it sound like the holly grail and I am finding so many other synths shared here are more useful or at least very similar without the issues. It just seems to me that there are a high percentage of "junk" patches in Diva.

No you're not alone! mates Most folks (either download junkies) make a hyper-hype of every new or wished thing, without even knowing their features, performances and issues. And when they finally get the nuts all they do is lamenting, moaning +wishing the next updated version...without knowing its bugs! FACEPALM. damn

thank you so much for this, but it still crackles like the demo. i followed the directions and all that. and to the guy two posts above me.... diva is an AMAZING sounding softsynth. just my opinion though.

Jessycd: Is right / thats the right protocol for installing this VTS / ( Guys with problems : are you sure the Plist is in your user library ? (The "~" like in ~/Library/Application Support means user library)

The fact is I had the demo version installed, I installed the crack ON the demo version ) Work fine here,,

IT WORKS!! the first time i installed it, it only worked as a demo and for every min it did that "Cracking noise". Deleted it all and tried it again following every instruction to the t.......and it works PERFECT.
