Oh that's great news, and I'm glad to be wrong on that.... I don't know how I misread that info.... apologies.

So I guess it's only Chromaglow and Stem Splitter that require Apple Silicon. ( I think anyway, relooking at the fine print on the Apple site...)

"We wanted to give you a heads-up about some compatibility issues with the new Logic Pro 11. We've discovered a problem when opening Logic Pro 11 in Rosetta, which is affecting our Apple Silicon Mac users who use ARA functionality.

Our team is keeping a close eye on this issue and we'll keep you posted with any updates. In the meantime, we recommend that Apple Silicon Mac users avoid running Logic Pro 11 in Rosetta to avoid any interruptions in your work."

I have personally conducted a comparison test, and found that CPU multithreading is not functioning properly in Logic Pro X v10.8.0 and later under iMac Retina 5K 27", Ventura 13.6.7 environment. So the air-cooled fans spinning louder than usual, or the number of plug-ins available in the mix is drastically reduced.

Also, v11 had further exacerbated or increased, rather than improved, previous UI bugs.

Mastering Assistant, which has been forced onto the master fader since v10.8.0, is also a terrible sounding plugin and unusable.

I eventually decided to deal with this by reverting back to v10.7.9. This version is by no means bug-free, but it is not as bad as v11.

Logic Pro X keeps getting worse and worse, adding useless and unusable features one after another, but how long are they going to turn a blind eye to the piles of bugs and design problems (old and tacky)?

But there are still some tasks that can only be done with Logic Pro X, so I have no choice but to keep using it...

Unless you make the Change to Apple Silicon at some Point.

I am Running a Intel Hackintosh and since a couple Weeks an Apple Silicon Maschine.

So Yes. --> Intel Site needs to stay with 10.7.9 ----> Everything else is more Power Consuming for Nothing.

I didtn tried Eleven on the Intel yet. But i can Imagine, that is also soaking Power and Power and Power for no Benefit except for more heat in the Room. But thats more for the Winter Time.

Conclusion: The Time has Come for the Apple-Intel -World to say Goodbye to all the new Apple Relaeses on Software.

Energywise it makes no Sense to upgrade above 10.7.9.

IMO: Sonoma is maybe the LAst Intel supported MAC-OS. In a Few Weeks we will See, when they annouce the new crappy A.I. A.I. A.I. A.I. A.I. A.I. A.I. Shit. OS (From a Audio Production Perspective) A.I. A.I. A.I. to the World.

Old MAc Apple had a Farm .... A.I. A.I. oooHHHH !!!!!

yeah i think with Intel you can stay at 10.7.8 from energy site 10.7.9 needs more Power and it's not that stable as 10.7.8 and the changes are not great... Better CPU balance...simpler Midi integration that work all not solved...looks more they made new bugs...frustrated! Need a new machine and it looks the software is more buggy than ever before....i think they need a better Chief Programmer at Apple with passion for music!
