Native Instruments Kontakt 6 v6.3.2 MacOSX screenshot
P2P | 18 August 2020 | 568 MB
With KONTAKT 6, you can sound like a snare drum, a symphony orchestra, or anything in between, from a universe of sampled instruments. It’s a simple sampler when you want it to be, and a deep sonic scripting laboratory when you need something more. The next generation of the world’s favorite sampling platform gives you new instruments and new features under the hood – so you can layer, link, stretch, and shape your sounds any way you can imagine.

6.3.2 - 2020-08-04

Bug fix
FIXED Kontakt would crash in certain edge cases with some libraries
FIXED The AET filter was not working correctly
FIXED Kontakt 6.3.1 would crash with scripts containing KSP errors
IMPROVED The MIDI Monitor factory KSP script now also monitors release velocity

could you breakdown how to get this to work?

Exactly the same here. I do have a large number of libs. Many of them I simply cannot get working. Why do they work great in 6.2.2 and none of the 6.3 versions?
  Member 23.01.2012 49

im stock on the fix for this.

quote by dpzouthouseExact same issue I had with 6.3.1. Many libraries show up missing and there is absolutely no fix for this. Mac on Mojave. Back to the last working version 6.2.2.

OMG... if they don't show up in the K6 Library Tab it means that you have to change the SNPID to whatever the .nicnt is. If you see a SNPID of <000> then it was changed by K6 during "Add Library" process. Easy fix!!!

-------------------------

Open the .nicnt file (use Text Editor) and take notice/copy of the SNPID.

Then go to:

Macintosh/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Service Center/(find the library's).xml

Open it (using Text Editor) and change the SNPID from <000> to whatever the .nicnt was. They have to match. Now, when you open K6 it will appear.

BTW: Nothing "shows up missing"!!
If you're missing... you CAN'T show up!!!!!!!!

thank you for your reply..what if the numbers match?
& Slate & Ash "Cycles" won't let me edit the file..it say I don't own it..

& sorry one more thing..how do I get the stand alone to open & not crash?

thanks

Works great - faster than version 6.3.1! I can play all my old libs - about 40. Only had to search some folders, but then everything works like a charm...

Many thanks for this update sunny

After I search and find them, they're gone on the next reboot.

FOR ALL of you who have problems with libraries because kontakt always ask where the lib content is located :
1)Those libraries have to have a plist in hd/library/preferences
2)YOU NEED EDIT THAT PLIST.
3)you can edit a plist with TextWrangler which is FREE

Example: I have this com.native-instruments.GP03 Scoring Guitars.plist
I open this plist with TextWrangler and this appears:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>ContentDir</key>
<string>jimena:kontak libraries:Heavyocity Scoring Guitars 1 :</string>
<key>ContentVersion</key>
<string>1.0.0</string>
<key>HU</key>
<string>BD4732E814C06D17BE7B13938D94C019</string>
<key>JDX</key>
<string>197B58534FD565496F1E0D4C063D4EDF320F078B06EDDE967EACABA9BCDC5135</string>
<key>Visibility</key>
<integer>3</integer>
</dict>
</plist>
YOU NEED EDIT THIS LINE (which is where Kontak looks for the library) AND SAVE WITH THE NEW LOCATION
<string>jimena:kontak libraries:Heavyocity Scoring Guitars 1 :</string>

Remember OPEN FIRST the STANDALONE version of Kontakt when you had applied the trick (maybe you need restart the computer too)
DONE

Hey Sunsum

I did exactly as you said..when I open the PLIST it was pointed to the right location.
<string>FUP LIBRARY:KONTAKT:-NEW TRY OUTS 2019/2020-:Big Fish Audio:Vintage Rhythm Section:</string>
but its still now working..
& also btw you have any luck with the Slate & Ash" libraries?

Thank You!

I can attest for this too, I did all the .NIC (cant remember the extension) kontakt lib reg file tweaking, and the cloning over to .XML in native instruments/service center, all that jazz, never worked, in Kontakt 5 or 6 :)
  Member 25.08.2020 18

so you need 5.6.0 to add libraries, but I'm not seeing a 5.6.0 Mac version anywhere??
  Member 13.11.2016 1 30

When you install Kontakt 6.3.2, it will install 5.6 automatic.
You can search Kontakt and you see both 5.6 and 6.3.2 after installation.

unfortunately I'm having the same issue as a lot of other people though... load a library in 5.6.0 but it won't show up in 6 or even 5.6.0 when I open it again.
  Member 13.11.2016 1 30

I fixed the issue so it atleast loads in 5.6.0 again, but still not in 6.x
When you add a library in 5.6, do you get a sc3.tmp on you desktop?
If yes, go to the library you opened and right click on .nicnt file and open it up with a texteditor, like textwranger, atom and so on. Check for the SNPID from <number>. Remember that number, close the file.
Open up the sc3.tmp file with an editor and change the SNPID number so its like the .nicnt file, save the file.

Go to Library -> Application Support -> Native Instruments -> Service Center.
Copy the sc3.tmp file over there and change the name to the name of the library. For example, Alicia Keys and remove the tmp and change it to xml and save it as xml. Now that you add it in Kontakt 5.6 it will not be removed when you open up 5.6 again.

thank you so much! I read over all the comments at least 3x and that part about the sc3.tmp file is never mentioned. that not only got it to save in 5.6 but it now shows up in 6 as well! very much appreciate you taking the time :)
  Member 13.11.2016 1 30

No problem, at least it worked for you. :)
I need to find out why its not showing up in 6.x for me.
But it atleast shows up in 5.6.
  Member 25.08.2020 18

I can't imagine this being the reason, but I also dropped the xml in the Service Center folder on my user/home drive, as it's a separate samples drive and the one where I'm storing my Kontakt libraries. Since I just started this process there were no other xml's there, but the folder was there so I just did both to be sure.
  Member 13.11.2016 1 30

I think I fixed it.
The problem was that in :
In Library -> Application Support -> Native Instruments -> Service Center, I had another XML file called 'kontakt 6 application.xml'. I removed it, and now it shows up in Kontakt 6.x. :)
