The title of the post says it all. I know on Windows R2R will include the necessary registry keys to emulate a previous installation but not sure if they do this for Mac. If they do then you just need to run that before running the installation. If not then you must install an earlier version.

Use an older version for install,and replace component and vst file with the 5.9 ones.

Will that really work ? just kicking out the old component and vst file for the new 5.9 - in 10.6.8 OSX ?

The standalone version is not working for me (not launching). And in plugin mode asks me for activation... Don't know why...
Back to 5.8 meanwhile.
I'm using os 10.9.2

Have 5.8.0 installed yet when I try and install it says: Failure - No Previous installation found. Please run the full product installer before running this update installer.

Any suggestions? On 10.9.2

Hi guys, I got some problem installing it: the stand alone version is not starting on my imac osx 10.8.5 telling that is not supported on this mac. Also in Ableton, I can't see the plug in in the list of the AU also if I copied the cracked component in the right folder, any advice? Maybe I did some error giving the right permission, could someone tell me how do this in the right way? Cheers

Hi and thanks for the update.

I was running 5.8 in both Logic x and stand alone mode but now i can only run reaktor as a stand alone. Could someone give me a clue as to what I am doing wrong?

I have been going mad trying to sort it and any help would be great,

Can anyone advise if installing the free demo v5.9 Reaktor player then installing this after will work?.. - Mac (Mavericks/Logic Pro X).

Also when downloading the free demo Reaktor player from the NI website do I need the free factory library as well?..

how to install 5.9.0
extract the update DMG with pacifist. reset permissions to Reaktor app with batchmod. manually replace all the files that where extracted from pacifist to there relevant folders. then replace those files from the R2R folder.

I've installed Reaktor 5.5.1 and verified that it works. When I extract the .dmg for this 5.9.0 update using Pacifist I get a collection of .pkg's (more packages), like Updated Library Content, AU, AAX, etc. (all the things you'd expect to be in there). Here's where it gets weird and where I can't move forward. Those extracted packages all show to be of anticipated sizes (generally in MB and all together adding up to the total size of this update), but when I try to open each one individually Pacifist shows them each to be of 0 bytes and won't extract their contents. Similarly I just get an error message if I try to open them using Installer.app.

I feel I should have instead Installed the .dmg for this update using Pacifist (as opposed to extract-ing)? But the Install option in Pacifist is greyed-out when I open this update.

If I simply try to install this update with the installer.app I get an error message telling me that it can't install because no previous installation found.

. . . about to give up on this one and go back to making music.
