I found a way to get the library to be recognised in OS X. You simply copy the library to the default location in OS X /Users/Shared/ then you copy the com.native-instruments.Battery 4.plist from /Library/Preferences to your desktop or somewhere you can edit it. Then you change
<key>InstallDir</key> to
<key>ContentDir</key>
and the string section to
<string>NAME OF YOUR HARD DRIVE:Users:Shared:Battery 4 Factory Library:</string>

Then below this you add:
<key>ContentVersion</key>
<string>1.0</string>

Then save the file as: com.native-instruments.Battery 4 Factory Library.plist and place back in /Library/Preferences

Next time you run Battery it will find the library and after that you should be able to relocate it if you so wish. This will also allow you to run the Battery 4 Library update as well. And the content version will auto change to the newly installed version

I obtained this information by looking at the plist for Maschine 2 Library

I opened up the plist and I couldn't find any of those command lines. It's all listed alphabetically and it is not listed. Should I simply add these lines into the plist, then? Thanks.

You opened the wrong .plist - I made the same mistake. DON'T use the one in Users/Library/Preferences, use the one in Mac HD/Library/Preferences instead. That plist should ONLY have one line that says InstallDir, nothing else. After that's been changed then click on "new sibling" to be able to add "ContentVersion" etc.

Unfortunately, there is no plist in the HD directory one. I searched but there was only Battery 3. I ended up copying the one from user to see if it would help. But obviously it didn't. Do you have any ideas why I am not seeing it? What can I do to get it there? Usually just running the installer would put it in place, right?

How can I upload a screenshot so you can see what mine looks like? I copied the Battery 3 plist from that directory and named it Battery 4 and copied the way you explained but still did not get the library to open up correctly. Thanks.

@ShadowLandsUK - that didn't work for me. I had manually installed the library. Can't get it to show up as factory, only as user, but I guess that'll do for now.. Any additional thoughts are welcome! Cheers!

Can anyone help?

I am getting only 2 libraries after installing this? The "808 Multiple Kit" and the "Concrete Cru Kit" total size is about 3.7gb and on the main B4 Factory Browser it only shows 2 libraries? The full BATTERY 4 Factory library contains 143 kits...i'm confused.

Anyone has a link to the full B4 library?? I'd really appreciate it!!
