Kontakt Library Wallpaper & Activation File Collection

wallpaper doesnt have any compability problems just name it wallpaper and of you go it works with all kontakt versions.
And even if you put the nicnt file in the library dir old kontakt just ignore the file

@trees415 : i have one question! idont work with new kontak and dont know they new format as i work with kontakt 4 the library have info.nkx and info.nkc file now they have .nicnt file to add to library ? and if im right they are xml file ? how we can write them ? befor it i use register trick ! .

As far as i know you have to do the regtrick in order to get custom library to show up in library tab...

Luckily for us now that have done a little program that write register info so you dont have to do all the work yourself..

I recently did an upgrade of my OS to win 7 i formatted the HD and installed everything again

I installed Kontakt 3,5 Kontakt 4.1.1 (Air) 4.2.2 - 4.2.3 - 4.2.4 (Assigne) and the 5.0.2 new Kontakt 5 Assigne (now changed to 5.0.3 Anybot)

Yes you can have all those version 4 on your machine in case you did wonder why i had those installed it is beacuse have so many unfinished projects that use those versions - "the story of my life i never satisfied with my work".

Here is how you do it..

First install 4.2.4 then rename the all dll files 8 out 16 out etc. and the exe file to something you like..
I called them Kontakt 4.2.4.dll and kontakt 4.2.4.exe
Then uninstall 4.2.4 now you have all those renamed dll:s and exe files left on your HD put them on a "safe place" for now and do the same thing with version 4.2.3 and 4.2.2..

Finally install 4.1.1 Air version then simply put all renamed dll files in your vst folder along with the Air version and put all the renamed exe files in the install dir and made shortcuts to them....

Now you can open any lib that is not made for kontakt 5 beacuse as far as i know kontakt 4.2.4 was the last version 4 update..

When i finally opened the kontakt 5 version all supported lib did show up like ewql best service etc etc some lib i had to add with the add lib funktion..

But most of them do not support that funktion so i had to do the regtrick a.k.a i wrote all regkeys on textfile and rename it to a regfile and doubleclicked it and voila now they showed up in the libary tab..

BUT kontakt search for the info.nkx file for that lib it was often the same name as the dir folder name sometimes it was altered a bit like this..

But if someone came up with an idea of how to make ALL librarys to become an "add lib" it would be awesome beacuse then we didnt have to do the regtrick..

Some librarys are made for kontakt 5 and cannot be opened in kontakt 4 are you with me??...

Its the same with some librarys that was made for different version of kontakt 4..
Some would be made for version 4.2.2 and some for 4.2.3 and some for 4.2.4
Those lib cannot be opened in any earlier version of kontakt..

But if you do what i did and have only the renamed dll and exe files of the newer version of kontakt 4

BUT THIS IS FOR WINDOWS I DONT KNOW IF IT WORKS ON MAC..

You could open those lib that you cannot open with 4.1.1..

That is beacuse the dll and exe files uses the same engine as version 4.1.1

There are some programmers that made there kontakt lib so you could use the add lib function but many more just make there kontakt lib without that function.
Those lib you have to do the regtrick in order to be seen in the library tab..


And when you do the regtrick and open Kontakt 5 t looks for an info.nkx not an nicnt file those files is ONLY for add lib function not for regtricks.

Wallpaper are just wallpapers nothing more or less they still works on ANY kontakt version as long as you rename the png file to wallpaper.png

But if you open an nicnt file with an text editor like wordpad i got this with the V-metal nicnt file

Now i am tired of typing beacuse its so much more that has to be typed..

And i am looking on my studio computer screen and typing this on my internet computer no copy/paste..

So if you wanna try doing an nicnt file go ahead i wouldnt as it is much easyer to do the regtrick..

But if someone can do nicnt files for ALL custom lib:s out there it would be awesome

Great upload. But, you can't use generic wallpaper(e.g. 'Sonokenetic Library') for ALL of those libraries. The generic wallpaper will only come up, once, for whichever library you chose to use it for. Unless I am missing something. But thanx!

The reason for that is that I combined all of my sonokinetic libraries into one single library, since I have 13 or 14 Sonokinetic libraries and most of them only have one instrument patch.

And how did you come up with all those numbers after <ProductSpecific> <HU>XXXX = numbers end letters </JBX>?
I am a total fool when it comes to programming but since they are different on every nicnt file i gues they must be importent..
