Discrete Drums Heavy Mental 2 'JessyCD Edition' Kit 1 for Kontakt 5.02+
Discrete Drums Heavy Mental 2 'JessyCD Edition' Kit 1 for Kontakt 5.02+
(~ 13 MB)

A single DrumKit for Kontakt v5.02 and superior (in Monolith Format) based on the recently posted 'Discrete Drums Heavy Mental V2 KONTAKT' by JessyCD, itself based on the 'original' Discrete Drums Heavy Mental Drums v2 Pro (Full Library).
This single DrumKit has been mapped in a 'GM/GS Standard' way, so users that will use it with their MIDI Files will find the exact correspondance between the various components of a DrumKit and a MIDI File played the way its creator intended it to be played.
The mapping done is as follows :
MIDI Note (Number) :
B0 (35) Kick 2 (or Variation) in place of the usual Acoustic Kick
C1 (36) Kick
D1 (38) Snare 2 (or Variation) in place of the usual Acoustic Snare
E1 (40) Snare
F#1 (42) Closed HiHat
G#1 (44) Pedal HiHat
A1 (45) Low Tom
A#1 (46) Open HiHat
B1 (47) Low-Mid Tom
C2 (48) Hi-Mid Tom
D2 (50) High Tom
A word about some of the features of this Kontakt Monolith DrumKit :
As stated, this DrumKit was done as Monolith Format, this way you don't have to care about locate and loading samples, all is enclosed in a single .nki. This can be useful as you can put this .nki wherever you like within your HD, you just have to locate it with the Kontakt Browser and double-click on it to load it.
Some little FX chains have been added as 'InsertFX' as well as 'SendFX'. These FX are active by default when you'll load the first time this DrumKit, then as this is primarily a matter of personal taste, don't hesitate to 'bypass' the different FXs if desired by opening the corresponding elements. Only one of these FX has not been activated (--> bypassed) by default, is the Convolution Engine (SendFX Section), as it's empty and may permits you to load your own IRs. Just don't forget to activate it (click on the red 'bypass' button to enable it) if you use it !
The volume of the individual samples has also been changed in a way to try to equilibrate the global volume sound among them (compared to the 'raw' samples available).
This DrumKit requires Kontakt v5.02 or superior to be loaded and played properly. To be exact, it was done with Kontakt v5.0.2.5641 (Be aware !).
Hope you'll enjoy it... and if it can please some of you, the rest of the 'Homemade' Library done by JessyCD (more DrumKits done in this way) will follow .... it depends on his decision !
For those that will download it and that may dislike it... just 'trash it' as easily that you do with a simple file !
By the way, all the comments are welcome... even the harshest critics (if they are constructive... ) !
All the thanks & credits go exclusively to Mr. JessyCD !

No added process of any kind has been done neither on the MIDI Templates nor in this 'Heavy Mental 2 'JessyCD Edition' Kit 1'. As stated in the article, this DrumKit comes by default with enabled InsertFX & SendFX Chains, so you'll to get exactly the same sound as long as you load it in its initial state !
I've only set the Channel Strip at -1.5dB in place of 0dB (just to get a few of headroom at the final stage). The Master Volume (Stereo Out) is set at 0dB.
Enjoy it !
