Not sure about Cymatics but Moon Boy has been using this strategy pretty well but unlike old marketing speech he actually sticks to it.
Makes people buy his next pack and sells out. So actually works if you stick to it.

Because you see it as a TV mass produced sales tactic and things downloadable as pirated and free.
Not as an artist limited edition.
You probably would rather buy a mass produced art print instead of seeing the value in owning an artists print that was limited to 20 copies.
