These are the famous Technosis Patches for Ensoniq ESQ1 & SQ80.
Load them into your Ensoniq machines or use them with the !free! SQ80 emulation SQ8l by Siegfried Kullmann.

In 1986 movie and sound designer Mike Peake released a series of add-on sounds, that made many reviewers seriously reexamine the power of the ESQ1. For many, the synth went from being just a "magic mystery box" that offered tweakable variations of sounds like the D-50 by Roland to a deep synthesis engine that rivaled the Oberheim Expander - both in architecture and sound.

Yeah. Use the Sound Quest release by R2R, or perhaps you even bought it. It is really superior to other librarians and it even has a nice graphical interface to edit the presets, or to look, what is going on inside the different presets! It is expensive like Cubase, but really the best! The free ESQ1 librarian once f**ked up my machine, so I had to open it and make a hard reset, which cost me ten years of my miserable life
Be cautious with SQ80s and librarians!

I sorta forgot that I had an ESQ-1 in the attic. It's missing the high "A" key, but who uses that anyway? Loading these banks will provide me a wonderful opportunity to avoid doing any actual work for a while. Thx!

This is Mike Peake. I've been disabled for the last seven years and money is damn tight; I get a few dollars from sales of these patches from Soundengine, the only authorized distributor, every now and then and it matters. I'm disappointed to see people still taking advantage of free downloads of such work after all of this time. This is why I moved on to doing sounds for manufacturers only. I have an ESQ and was going to make a new batch but not after seeing this. Twice you have stopped me from making more new sounds you might have enjoyed for only a few bucks. Seriously?
