how do you load those? somehow only the first patch per bank gets loaded

edit: oh well... the microwave xt does not understand banks. is anyone able to split those banks to single syx files?

You can do it yourself
The KnobKraft Orm try this and split into individual sysex it works

And yes XT understand Banks but these are not working cause the banks have to cleaned up most have 65 patches not 64 that's why it's not working

It works

The 65'ers seem to be loading for me.
Maybe he has to update his exe?

Thanks for the heads up about KnobKraft Orm.

Use *SINGLE.syx or *MULTI.syx files depending on which mode you use - put them where your other sound banks for Xenia are, press browser button in Xenia, right click on "data resources" and press "refresh". There you go.

Sure convert it to individual sysex then it works also in Xenia

Sounds different anyway because MV 1 has 2 Wtslots for OSC and an analog Filter....but works with a bit of tweaking in Xenia

They work, just checked. :) Thank you for posting these, Arcticstorm. Cheers!

One thing, though. Microwave 1 patches don't actually sound 1:1 as MW1 and MW2 are too different, but Waldorf made MW2 load them anyway. Can't remember what are all the differences, but MW1 doesn't have FX therefore notice that MW1 sounds are more quiet, probably due to no FX. MW1 is pure analogue except the oscillators ,so you can imagine that it's impossible to make those sounds the same in MW2.

Microwave1 has a big difference, ANALOG FILTER ONBOARD! Then some adsr differences, no fx and dacs, different wavetable scanning method…mw1 was released with 2 versions rev a and b different analog filter chipset ;)
So dont expect to play these cards as expected on the xenia, ghey will not sound nice like the proper mw2 or xt patches.

Just tried, they sound great on the MW1 from Waldorf but like dodo on Xenia.

When you load these patches its hearing stereo for few second and become mono in Xenia . After that if you dont load any patch from another bank (which is not from this pack) it keep loading all this banks patches as mono. I think its Xenia's bug but for now all these banks hearing mono.

Edit : All MW1 patches have same problem in Xenia. MW2 patches are fine.

For me, some patches have one channel much stronger than the other, it's almost mono, and it can be rectified by moving the pan knob in the multi mixer all the way right, or in some cases left. This could be Waldorf imperfect conversion they mentioned, but also Xenia bug.

My problem is not about pan or loading, MW1 patches working fine for 1-2 second. I have many patches and some patches have pan problems like patches hearing %60-70 left/right but this problem is not like that. Its like mono button on mixer, sound goes mono in 1-2 second and it just happening about MW1 patches.

Found interesting post about this soundset at Gearslutz:
Thanks for this! Unfortunately, this folder you've uploaded suffers from the same issue talked about in this thread in that the sysex files have extraneous data in them which cause a "Bulk Dump Error" in the Microwave when transferring them. The 'fixed' version of these files were floating around here for a few years but are gone now.
Loading the cards into f0f7.net got them working! I noticed that upon importing the .syx files into the site's interface revealed there being 65 out of 64 patches within each sound bank, which is very unusual. Removing 1 out of the 65 patches to make it 64 out of 64 and re-saving the bank as a new .syx file did the trick. That site was already amazing but now it's proven to be a real blessing.

In previous versions of Xenia it did not load these sound cards correctly for me. However, with the latest version of Xenia (1.3.19) and using the BNK files instead of the SYX files it's been working for me flawlessly.

No difference here with either BNK or SYX. Some (same) sounds still hard panned to one side. However, if you put Microwave in single mode everything sounds fine. In single mode pan on the multi sound output is disabled. This could actually be a Xenia bug, but these sound banks aren't normal sound banks either. At least we don't get "Dump error".

Like I said, just use the latest version of Xenia (1.3.19) and you're good. It will even load the BNK files. In fact I only keept the BNK files for these sound cards and deleted the rest.

Check if the sounds in the right octave...I have the M too that can load these sounds some in Xenia are not in the right octave....

Anyway check the new upload if you hear any difference with your BNK files

I hear you! And yes, with previous versions of Xenia there were glitches all over the place with these sound cards so I was pleasantly surprised when I found that with the latest version (1.3.19) the developers must have changed something in the rendering of the preset files. Whatever it is they did - it definitely fixed it! Have you tested 1.3.19 yet?
  Member 28.01.2019 9 55

Yes have it but no need for the bnk files cause converted all before ...but anyways good if it works now

Thanks for the converted Banks

Don't know but all the last 1.3.19 versions are a bit heavy for my iMac 2019 (1.3.14 working better on that CPU). Hoping next updates will be more light...

It seems Waldorf is preparing to release its MicroWave plugin. I wonder if it will support the original soundbanks?
