listen to this, amazing
https://sndup.net/cbgsj/ pt1 dry impulse - pt2 with 1178 NAM
If you listen to casual algo compressors and Acustica's you will not hear that. All PTFR profiles and most of the NAM in general is full of residue. They sound good but comes with this metallic bonus and you cant get rid of it, it's embedded in the sound.
Just make sure you pile up a few tracks in your project processed with this kind of stuff, it'll be great :)) Thinking of that, I would pile up noise from the 70-80-'s rather than this awful aliasing of today.

I would recommend this https://chowdsp.com/products.html BYOD
and load Proteus profiles from PTFR. NO zing!

Hi. Thanks for reply and insight. This isn't aliasing, this is obviously just a simple bug. They other NAM based concept plugin, that uses same NAM profiling tehnology, dosent have any of this artifacts. Everything will be just fine with NAM. NAM is amazing new teh, prety much in alpha phase of its development.

Gentlemen from AnalogXAi, witch by the way have amazing NAM profiles on it's own, is developing new NAM plugin loader, wich will probably be much more recording hardware orientated.

Just to confirm to everyone who is using NAM that "metalic" ringing is in fact just a bug. I just tested profiles with Tonocracy plugin, and evrything works, and sounds normal, just like it should.

PS. Also as opposed to NAM, witch is actively developing platform, with thousands upon thousands users, Proteus ( and with him Proteus part of the BYOD) is pretty much finished product, without any updates or support for a vary long time. NAM is also more accurate profiling software. Also looks like PastToFuture and AnalogXAi is satarted to migrate on NAM with they new releses. Witch is good decision.
