We recommend using the free BPB Saturator plug-in after the IR and set the Tape saturation around 10 to 16 + the tape hiss sample and it will sound very, very close to the original

Damn. I never checked the price tag on these before. That's wild. Forget anything outside audio production and think of what $5k could get you. That aside, this thing might need a v1.0.1 update as the pinch roller keeps warble-ing the audio and then bundling up the tape. And it's 2024, so there's no pencils laying around...

What impulse loaders are folks liking for this kind of IR? I still haven't one that sounds right

Hi. You can use this with any IR loader of your choice. Crucial thing is to set plugin to 100% wet. You don't want to blend dry signal with this type of IRs, like you will do with reverb impulses.

Thanks but the question is which ones do people like in particular? I know how to use them, I just find they often sound a little "off", and not in a good way

I personally use few of them for different application. Redwirez mixIR3 is the one that I use most of the time. It's guitar cabinet oriented, zero latency, with nice drag&drop IR browser, also have very nice IR sample based EQ-s. For reverbs I use Altiverb ,and LiquidSonics Reverberate. Lately I found myself more and more using simple Reaper inbuilt ReaVerb in combination with Reaper Browser for quick drag&drop IR auditioning . Install few of them and find witch one will work best in witch situation for your particular workflow.

I saw that gentleman from PastToFuture uses Convology XT.

One more thing. If use Redwirez mixIR3, set IR Lengt knob to maximum so it doesn't truncate IR length to 200ms time only, wich is fine most of the time for guitar cabinet , but this PastToFuture IR-s are usualy longer .
