i can't wait to try these nam based gear versions. nam does sound better than anything else out there that i've heard.

anybody got any info about the input gain staging target for these captures?

It depends of the profile. I' ve many of past to future and analogXai captures. Still experiment with gain staging. Some like standard-18db and some show their potential with much hotter or lower signal. Also there's a big difference between input signal that you go into the plugin and drivng the profiles inside the plugin.

Does anyone know how to convert Nam to stereo?

I use 2 instances to create a dual mono version.

Yeah, I know, but twice the CPU as well. I'm still hoping they deliver on their promise years ago of developing a stereo version.

won't change CPU load one bit: the matrix multiplications (inference calculations) on two channels take twice the processing of one.
If you're talking about the possibility of modeling channels influencing each other (like a stereo reverb), it becomes 4x the processing.
"AI" as in neural nets are nothing new, if CPUs were fast enough 20 years ago we would have had plugins like NAM much sooner.

quote by FjodorI use 2 instances to create a dual mono version.

Can you explain how to do that in detail within the DAW?

Create 2 channels 1 swapped/Panned Left completely the other panned Right, insert nam on both and route the panned channels to your Master.
