This IR is ideal for bringing upright basses recorded from pickups to life, of course, but it also has the effect of turning an acoustic bass (not upright) track recorded with a line input into a surprisingly engaging sound. In this case, the application is a parallel mix, which can be defined as a very specific ambient reverb.
Although it may only fit in limited cases, it can also be used as a filter (not for parallel) to lower certain tracks backwards in the mix.

you put any of the .wav files from this release, into a convolution plugin (such as the free convology xt one) and you put the plugin after your bass recording (or live input into the computer)

i personally thing mixir2 or 3 is one of the best convolution plugins. but its not free
