Presets for an EQ are usually not necessary as every sound will require to be balanced differently and certainly depends on the different elements you wish to mix them with.

Streaky on the other hand may have produced these as a guideline, and may not be a set target for a sound you maybe going for. Don't really think these could be useful in anyway, and if this is something someone has to pay for then rather pay to train your ears than some EQ presets.
If you just keep playing, one day you'll have mastered the game.

I use presets for quick inspiration (not for mixing tho). I like the phone speaker filter.

Lol yeah, streaky is a clown. Gives some of the worst mixing advice on social media and gets made fun of constantly.

My favorite was “if the compressor needle is moving you’re doing it wrong” 😂😂😂

The best keep secret from this video :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8oGeBXx9vs

"Don't do anything !"

This guy do so "subtle" things that he don't even know what he is really doing
Like "the needle should not move"

The story of if the needle it was misinterpreted, or rather it was interpreted with a negative mind and out of context ,
The video about the secret, I understand what he means, but I think he overreacted in what he said, and I didn't like the video either.

I disagree with this. Most of it is dynamic EQ, therefore somewhat program dependent. They're not completely useless, use it as a starting point and make adjustments. The basic shape/idea is there, it can inspire your own moves

Presets are good to learn a plugin for example they can show you functions you haven't discovered yet but I agree that it doesn't make sense to market them with as "the same presets the pros use daily" or sth like that because it gives a wrong idea to people and just wastes your money and time you should spend on learning to use eq properly.

I watched a video the other day on his youtube channel and it was supposed to have a lot of presets per circle of fifths but I don't seen can´t find them in this release, any thoughts or suggestions?

Replying to myself here that in a video he really says that about having the presets with the keys included, and I did not find them here, so this guy mentioned something on that video that is not true.

EQ presets aren't as crazy as you think. Its just elitists who will tell you they're worthless, I mean, analog EQ's dials are essentially common preset points along the low, mid, and high frequency ranges. In modern EQ's, having starting points will help you work fast. Its just better if you build them around analog EQ presets. For example, having presets for guitars that remove low mud, boost around 2k, and either add or scoop mids are great. Especially if you don't know where to start, its great to have a place to work from for each instrument.

Saying that, I have no idea if this guy is good, or making worthwhile presets.

Oh god, I just realized its the guy who always pops up in my YouTube Shorts. This guy literally never makes a point. His videos are a black hole of information.

Fully agree, presets can save a lot of time, obviously a preset won't work with every audio material out of the box but it you're using the right preset for the job it's just a matter of tweaking it a little bit... way less effort than making everything from the scratch
be kind :)

It's hilarious that he thinks he can tell that the presets must be shit only from seeing a random eq curve without any additional information like the sound it's supposed to affect
