PastToFutureReverbs TELEFUNKEN M5 Tape Recorder IRS! Impulse Responses (IRs) WAV screenshot
Impulse Responses (IRs) WAV | AudioZ Exclusive | 45.14 MB
AMAZING SOUNDING VINTAGE TAPE RECORDER FROM GERMANY!

This tape recorder from our private collection has that old mojo and tape glue.

Everything you put through it sounds like a record!

We recommend using the free BPB Saturator plug-in after the IR and set the Tape saturation around 20-25 and it will sound very, very close to the original M5 tape recorder.

Both speeds with 2 different tapes have been sampled in this pack

You will get 10 IRS + a bonus TAPE FX IR in this set!

Including original tape hiss sample

Ps: What I don't agree with is the saturation in the chain after the impulse, what do other users think?

Imho, a tape can't be captured by one simple impulse like it is done here.
When it comes to effects that change with level (like compression or saturation) you need something like nebula does it. As far as I understand Nebula capures 'all frequencies, all levels' with a very special sequence of tones and levels. And I need to say, I happen to have a Revox B77, the Revox B77 Nebula Simulation on Ampex Tape just sounds like mine.
I think impulses like those 'one sample, 0 fsdb' are great to capture reverbs, but are not suitable for more complex stuff.

If it's (good) tape saturation fits the combo for me

I'm having so much fun with this and Saturn's tape section after the IR's. I don't care how close it sounds, because it sounds soooo cool! Thanx trae_hym y PiRAT
