Introducing the revolutionary new software extension, „A.I. 1073 MIC PREAMP PLUGIN EXTENSION“ - the next level of non-linear impulse response making using AI machine learning.

With A.I. 1073 MIC PREAMP PLUGIN EXTENSION we captured the saturation, overdrive, and distortion characteristics of analog devices like a Tape recorder, Tube Amp, Mic Pre, Limiter, Compressor, and Guitar Pedals like never before.

The ultimate solution for those seeking to capture the warmth and character of analog devices like tape recorders, tube amps, and guitar pedals in their digital audio recordings.

This cutting-edge technology uses AI machine learning neural networks to create non-linear impulse responses that accurately replicate the sound of analog devices, which normal impulse responses cannot do.

This technology goes beyond traditional impulse responses, providing a more realistic and dynamic sound that truly captures the essence of analog devices.

You will only need to get the free plugin (Proteus) that lets you use these AI machine learning non-linear impulse responses.

Simply download the plugin (Proteus) from guitarml.com and load the 1073.json files into the plugin to enjoy the next level of realistic tape sound.

The Plugin that you need to use these files are available for free in various formats including Windows 10/11 64-bit (VST3, AAX), Mac 10.11 and up (AU, VST3, AAX), and Linux (VST3, AAX).

The resulting 1073.json files can be easily loaded into the plugin, allowing you to enjoy the next level of realistic mic preamp sound.

Don't settle for dull and lifeless tracks - get the A.I. 1073 MIC PREAMP PLUGIN EXTENSION and experience the next level of non-linear impulse response making.

These sounds amazing on drums, vocals guitars, keyboards, synths, etc. you name it!

P:S: Please check out the default settings picture (The IR switch is a default Cab IR that is included with Proteus as default and should be at the OFF position (Left)

I never had a chance of using the hardware IRL, but even after checking the supposed default settings, it really doesn't sound good. The drive on this is way too boosted, basically unusable if you don't feel like crushing the sound.

This uses the NAM technology that can only capture one static knob position, meaning, its not dynamic so the user cant choose between 0-100%.

That makes a lot of sense and explains why none of the knobs seemed to help. Thanks.

Surprisingly good sounding! love it.

Here's some ideas how to get the best out of it for those that is having trouble.

0. Download and Install Proteus from GuitarML website if you haven't already.
1. Set the IR to 0 ( toggle to the left). <-- night and day difference if you got this one wrong
2. Set the Gain to Minimum, fully counterclockwise, and Set the Volume to maximum. There will be no sound.
3. Slowly bring in the gain, to get to the equal loudness of the track, gain match.
4. Use the three-band EQ included to compensate the changed frequency balance if needed.
5. Add more gain and bring down the volume (slowly while listening) until you get to the sweet spot or desired tone. EQ to compensate again if needed.

I've flattened the frequency response and perfectly gain-matched it and this is how the settings would look like :

You can do it with the Bertom EQ Curve Analyzer if you want.
It makes no sense to say you’re not good at it. It’s like saying, “I’m not good at being a monk.” You are either living as a monk or you’re not.

yes, with flattened frequency response.

Guys rather than trying to use this terrible IR system just use some good plugins.. UAD is best - Lindell 80 is great - Analog Obsession is Free and great low mid - Acustica Fire the Gold is Free and has excellent preamp - All this is much better than IR and gets close results to hardware especially when using them on good quality source recordings, libraries, and virtual instruments.

You really think so, NeveRouge? I've been hearing great things about NAM, Proteus and BYOD for emulating analog studio gear. According to that developer from Acoustica Audio, Henry Olonga, the best method he found was to use Nebula IRs for "mojo" at the end of the chain (after any digital comp or EQ). Also the guy from AnalogXAi swears by this new technology, as well as Jorge SomBinario and other producers. I love Analog Obsession and the Lindell stuff as well and don't really know what to think of this new IR approach.
